Thanks for asking Pastures, I didn't know either. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

That sailing sounds lovely Maggie - is 'Seabird' her class?
Yes, she's a Seabird Half Rater. How lovely and evocative
I sailed dinghys when I was much younger. Never been on a boat much bigger than that, other than a 16' catamaran one summer on holiday.
*wistful*
If you can get to Abersoch in the next couple of weeks I'm sure you could crew on a race, or if no racing be taken round the Islands to see the seals on the Half Tide Rocks... Or to Porth Ceriad or Llanbedrog, depending on wind direction of course!0 -

I thought it came from the architect Gaudi who designed buildings in Spain, his house in Barcelona was very gaudy. Wiki suggests latin roots for the word.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Woah! I missed a dinner invitation from NDG!
The spider is, erm, no more. Doozer was taking no prisoners.
He purchased 18 processed chicken fillet steaks on his way home. I cooked 6, because I'd had a glass of wine by that point and didn't fancy going out for propper food. I'm off to London in the morning, so maybe the rest will have gone when I get back.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Looking good. For a moment I was looking for bath/shower, but then realised it's your downstairs cloakroom.I really like the way the basin is all part of the whole thing that runs across the wall. That will make cleaning (aarrggghhh spit!) a helluva lot easier.
Very smooth looking, love it! (envy envy, even though I do love our downstairs shower room)

Agreed. I find the basin particularly aesthetically pleasing.
You know how everyone says you shouldn't go supermarket shopping on an empty stomach? I think the same applies to DIY stores. Planned to pop to B+Q to see what was in the sale, but ended up leaving work rather later than planned.
I've picked up some drill bits (hopefully they're ok with my drill. The lady in charge of that dept was as clueless as I was), a saw (I have a project in mind for over winter when I won't be pottering in the garden...), some decorators caulk, a plaster repair kit and an exterior rendering repair kit (which was cheap enough that if I get someone to do it all instead I don't mind chucking).
Bins - no need to check here. Thanks to my ongoing 'fill the green bin' challenge, I always know what bin is going out that week.
And unless my car is in the way, my neighbours put my bins out before I get a chance0
