That is not very mumsy to have such. I am impressed at her style.
Will delete more if you want me too?
That's fine - it's the combo which is more distinctive.
It was an exceedlingly mumsy car when she had it though. The back seat was full of (hideous in my opinion) large cuddly toys. Other than that I don't think she's particularly very mumsy.0 -

Don't think I have ever been asked the car colour when getting an insurance quote. I personally would always choose a black car even though thy do show the dirt. DSS just bought a black one that does have the 'micro-abraisions' but it is 13 years old and I suspect with some of that colour magic polish it would look fine again. Our car is a disgusting beige colour that I hate but it was cheap
I think you can do that with the Dulux app - you take a photo, mark an area then select colours. I'll have a play over the weekend and see if I need to re-assess!
I want to get our front door painted a really nice high gloss black, we have a sort of black and white theme in our house....
LIR it would be wonderful to see you again, not sure whether for a day trip - wondering if we could do it one day 'in passing' on the way to/from Devon (last week of August)I think....0 -

Not quite.... I'd have still needed to do it .... too wiped out to even think about standing at the moment.
Does it have to be extra virgin olive oil? I am unfamiliar with oils, but (as they use it a lot on the telly) I'd bought a small bottle of "Olive Oil, light in colour, by sainsburys" a while ago .... not entirely sure what I really thought I'd do with it
- it does say suitable for shallow frying, so that's what I'd have used it for. It's the poshest oil I've ever bought, to be honest.... not used to using oils beyond something cheap to fry stuff in. 0 -
Once I get started, I'll no doubt discover a) that I'm terrible at painting and b) that my desire to keep as many original features as possible will be outweighed by the urge to make things as simple and cost-effective as possible.
Always good to keep original features if possible. Good selling point when (if!) you ever want to sell to move on.The red hot pokers by the door look like they're about to invade the house though - they might be completely coming out very soon.
You can't take them out! Have you seen how much they cost? If you really must, please at least offer them on Freecycle or Freegle. I'd come and get them, but suspect the journey would be too far for me! <rolls eyes smilie>lostinrates wrote: »If you want to paint it turquoise with yellow polka dots I'm all for it.
:rotfl: Well that would be striking! Might give the postie a shock! You'd prob end up on the local tourist bus route.
But I'm in agreement with LiR that it's your door, your house, and whatever makes you happy is what to go for.

You don't need to stand if you can stand Un toasted pita.:).
It should be evoo, but you could try oo just once, then you'll know the difference
Put the oo in a little bowl/egg cup or bottom of plastic beaker,
Put some zaartar in the bottom of another bowl/beaker. Dip bread in oil, ( let drip off a bit, I don't it too greasy at all...its job is glue) then dunk it in the zaartar.
If you are me and feeling really lazy, you can drizzle so e oil in side a pita, and toss some zaartar inside. All the purists will tell you off, so I didn't admit that, ok?
If you did that you could try a different zaartar at each end.
The tangy taste in the zaartar is so etching called sumac, which is one of my all time favourite tastes. There is a lot of thyme in it too.0 -

Cheers for the complete instructions, I was going to ask what I was supposed to do
Never heard of zaartar...... not surprisingly

Any NP within easy distance of Manchester want to have a northern meet (well, northern for English NP even if impossibly southern for NP in Scotland) on a weekday evening in the second half of August????
Oh I'd love to, but I think we'll still be at the caravan. But do let me know when, as it's possible we'll come home for a few days to weed the lottie. I'd love to meet a NP.
And Bugslet is fairly close too? Closer than Liverpool I think. 0 -
Had a lovely day.
My shopping...straws, shoe boxes, 90p plastic cutlery set colourful and cheerful.
Didn't even need a big blue bag.
The Nice baby is adorable..his mum unflappable. Felt awful to put them on the train, knowing it would take them a couple of hours to get home this evening. Just thinking of the effort of taking a small infant, a car seat and a pushchair on buses and trains from/to London/Southcoast. Well done that lady.
When we arrived both ladies had their hair pinned up..no surprise that LiR had pretty make up too. Pastures ..your hair looks fab pinned up. You were initially unrecognisable to me..you had 'lost 15 years'...a petite blonde, with an up 'do'. Somehow I don't think you see yourself like that.
Some very successful idnetifying of 'future possible PN shopping' and equally valuable assessments of somethings that were not quite right. I particularly liked the sofa PN lay down on, liked but described the colour as 'polished turd'
PN and I tested mattresses , laying flat out chatting amiably on a comfy one.
I have been coveting Systema soup mugs/bowls for some time...had no luck trying to buy them and now have been kindly gifted some. Lucky me.
I want to do it all again tomorrow (other NP will run for the hills).0 -
That was my "usual look" the "get this mattress-style hair out of the way ... pin it up with a cheap bit of elastic" look.Pastures ..your hair looks fab pinned up. I think, on reflection, I would have regretted the chaise longue ... it was nice, it was comfortable, but I think I'd have been at a loss as to where to put it, when to use it really. Some very successful idnetifying of 'future possible PN shopping' and equally valuable assessments of somethings that were not quite right. Yes, that sofa DID look like a polished turd
So brown, so shiny.
Yes, almost made a decision, before LIR confirmed my concerns/fears/rumours about Ikea bed/mattress sizes and UK sizes.PN and I tested mattresses , laying flat out chatting amiably on a comfy one.I have been coveting Systema soup mugs/bowls for some time...had no luck trying to buy them and now have been kindly gifted some. Never heard of Systema... will google that. I'm guessing they're super-posh
I'd go again ..... but not tomorrow
Managed to be in all the correct lanes to get home - I do hate it when traffic is busy and you're having to read signs to be in the right lane, then find out you need to change lane when everybody else is already in the right one as they know the journey inside out.0
