I like black cars a lot. My favourite . One car we looked at was more expensive to insure in black though.0 -

I borrowed the pic from 2 years ago (google maps).
Thanks though
Sorry, yes I meant in current garden pics.
:o:o Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Lyd: Just for you, here is a re-run of stage 1 of my house makeover.
Thank you.
:):) Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I thought black cars were a bit of a no-no as the tiny scratches you get when you wash it show up really badly? Not that I ever wash mine!
I have got a bit fed up with work so am off for an interview tomorrow at a bank. I expect the job will turn out not to really be of interest when I drill down into it but at least it will get me back into practice. Bit scary in a way as haven't been to an external interview since late 2007!0 -
The amazing shed programme (Shed of the Year) is just about to come on Channel 4 - think it might be a bit of fun.0

I feel very strongly you would get on well with both in real life very well.
We overran on time a lot. I think poor NDG and kermie will be shattered.
he was so good.:smileyhea:smileyhea
Further on this point, if the kids all wanted to go to Avebury/Stonehenge or Longleat I'm happy to provide lunch and parking spot and if Longleat, sacrificial monkey car.
Is ds too grown up now to hang around with little uns of dd and I's age? I don't know what Michael's kids have on this summer, we'd be a two car job then
. Its a big deal with kermie in tow though.
Pretty sure you could find something with less travelling for all concerned.
I just like kids, :rotfl: 0 -

I read one was in trouble, in Cornwall, as he was letting it out as a holiday let and had never got permission for that.0 -

Otherwise its good fun, and if it makes you smile its doing a very important job.

Realising it's actually still light outside, I've just compared paint colours (I have pretty much all the paint charts going!), and stood on the front doorstep holding them up to the brickwork.
F+B arsenic is most similar to Little Green 'Green Verditer' (to my eye) and the turquoise blue a little more, well, blue. I don't think the colour on screen is a particularly good representation of it - it looks much brighter and 'in your face' in my painted pic - esp against the slightly overcast house.
My liking of turquoise aside, what colour would you (and anyone else who'd like to offer an opinon) suggest? Let me know if you want me to post a pic of the house as is and I'll put one up for a bit...vivatifosi wrote: »Sorry, yes I meant in current garden pics.

Phew! Compliment accepted in that case
Garden was looking pretty much like that a couple of weeks ago - I'm mid way through taming the stuff at the front (again). The red hot pokers by the door look like they're about to invade the house though - they might be completely coming out very soon. 0
