We don't have a garage, We park in a sort of a lean to most often, about 70 or 80 yards from the house. Some times we park in a barn, Occasionally just in the open. If we feel lazy.0

You and me both.
We have two silver and one grey on the drive and a damask red in the garage.
White painted doors and garage door.
I 'chose' mine because it was my mum's and she was looking to get rid of it. I don't even like the colour (it's called 'sparkling silver' and is a kind of gold-tinted metallic silver).
Will delete - it also has a silver (silver silver this time) Union Jack on the black roof. The colour mis-match annoys me
Edit: garage door is black. But I had the car a year before I had a garage. Definitely didn't choose the garage to go with the car. A garage wasn't even on my list of wants (was expecting street parking).0 -
Realising it's actually still light outside, I've just compared paint colours (I have pretty much all the paint charts going!), and stood on the front doorstep holding them up to the brickwork.
F+B arsenic is most similar to Little Green 'Green Verditer' (to my eye) and the turquoise blue a little more, well, blue. I don't think the colour on screen is a particularly good representation of it - it looks much brighter and 'in your face' in my painted pic - esp against the slightly overcast house.
My liking of turquoise aside, what colour would you (and anyone else who'd like to offer an opinon) suggest? Let me know if you want me to post a pic of the house as is and I'll put one up for a bit...
Phew! Compliment accepted in that case
Garden was looking pretty much like that a couple of weeks ago - I'm mid way through taming the stuff at the front (again). The red hot pokers by the door look like they're about to invade the house though - they might be completely coming out very soon.
The colour I would suggest is the one that makes yOU happy. Not the one in fashion, like you, I dislike that, not the one we decree is tasteful, but the one you love.
If you want to paint it turquoise with yellow polka dots I'm all for it.
Its not what I'd do, but that's rather the point, ( I've just had a wonderful thought about painting over doilies though.....)
So, I'm a bit reluctant to say any thing that puts YOU off what you want.0 -

I expect the job will turn out not to really be of interest when I drill down into it but at least it will get me back into practice. Bit scary in a way as haven't been to an external interview since late 2007!
Have fun! There's nothing quite so liberating at an interview as thinking that you probably don't want the job so it doesn't matter what they think of you.

Is ds too grown up now to hang around with little uns of dd and I's age? I don't know what Michael's kids have on this summer, we'd be a two car job then
. Its a big deal with kermie in tow though.
Pretty sure you could find something with less travelling for all concerned.
I just like kids, :rotfl:
Not sure about DS. Would have to ask him.
The problem is that I am running out of summer holidays to do it in. Mostly because of the inquest but some other stuff too.
Any NP within easy distance of Manchester want to have a northern meet (well, northern for English NP even if impossibly southern for NP in Scotland) on a weekday evening in the second half of August????You and me both.
We have two silver and one grey on the drive and a damask red in the garage.
White painted doors and garage door.
I have a burgundy garage, dark brown front door and grey-blue car.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

It'd be good if there were a website where you uploaded a pic, then marked out an area you wanted to change the colour of .... then used sliders to faff back/forth changing the colour on the fly, until you found some you liked.0

If we do have another meet, PLEASE don't mention that idea within earshot of DD. :eek:Do you know anyone who's bereaved? S'ok - I bough the paint (+ undercoat) this morning
I had a £20 off voucher that expired today so I went before work to order and pay. Will test the paint when I get it, and if I don't like it I was planning to e.g. paint my cast-off garden furniture with it.
I was just curious
Holding it up to the bricks, I liked the way they went together.
I am absolutely certain my parents will hate it (it's not really a conventional door colour). That's not why I've chosen it though (honest!).0 -

I think you can do that with the Dulux app - you take a photo, mark an area then select colours. I'll have a play over the weekend and see if I need to re-assess!0 -
I'm starving, but so tired after today ... too tired to make a cheese toastie....0
