They sell meatballs in the food shop (freezer item). And lingonberry sauce, and that gravy stuff :)

I remember having the meatballs years ago and - "they weren't all that ...." - I liked them simply for the experience of saying I'd had them, but wouldn't seek them out. I found them dry.... maybe they've improved in 25 years ....

Although under 4 years old, now I'm here I can see quite a lot of the white gloss is yellowing/ageing.... so, although I bought to not do anything, I suspect within 2 years I will have to tackle the white gloss :(

There is a FB-style grey used in the hallway areas.... that's quite nice. No idea which manufacturer/colour it is though. I think the banisters weren't rubbed down before being painted on and so I could scrape a sliver off that and stick it to some sellotape and keep it with me maybe.

I've just booked our summer holiday - for 22nd August, so that feels a bit advanced planning. A week or so usually suffices.

We're staying in (unoriginally, for us) Cornwall, for a week, near Widemouth Bay. We'll get Kermie a nice little beach tent so that he doesn't get sun burned or cold in the wind, and I'm sure we'll have a great time.

That sounds lovely. A little baby needs a break after all the effort he has put into being born, gaining weight and watching balloons. He must be exhausted.

I am in Cornwall from 27th to 31st August.:)

We are in Devon around that time, I was going to suggest meeting up on the beech somewhere but it seems that despite only being one county apart it would take about 10 hours as PN would (slightly) exaggerate....
    I think....

It probably would. One's going to the remote top right hand part, the other's going to the far southerly left hand part .... and you're in the next county entirely. At least 10 hours I'd say :)

If I am right in where Spirit will be, the two will be 60 miles apart and a 1h30m journey to meet each other. Padstow would be a good likely mid-point for them (not that they will meet up, of course)... just saying.

Closest mutual spot would be Exeter.... which would give you a choice of Dawlish (west of the river), or Exmouth (east of the river).

I think the Turquoise Blue is .... er .... there must be a polite word somewhere... ah, got it "a little too much maybe?"

    :)

You need to take a photo of your house/door, then superimpose the different colours on it. Probably an app for that.

    :)

It would be the opening shot in my adventures in non-magnolia.

I know what you mean, but I do really like the colour. And I'm not planning on moving for a while!

My neighbour has a door the same colour as that top one Nikks. From a distance, it doesn't have much of a sheen to it, meaning that it looks like it has been left undercoated. It's nice, but not lovely.

I've seen a few grey doors around (I've been paying rather a lot of attention to front doors in the past few months...), and whilst they look smart, I still think they look like they've been prepped for painting.

    That's impressive!

If anyone can beat that, I will manger mon chapeau.

One afternoon as I reached the car in the staff car carpark, a loud 'bang' on the window of the next car caused me to look round and into the vehicle. The heel of a shoe had just hit the window. Two 'colleagues' were enjoying each others company:)

One of the fabrics I loved was at a main stream plaice to day as cushions. Off the list. Still pretty mind, but, I want it to feel like MY home, not anyone's.

I think I posted that fabric here a couple of years ago now. Glad I didn't go at a faster pace that normal.

Yes. I want it to be MY front door. Goodness knows it's likely to be expensive enough (not in the grand scheme of things, but for me). I want it to make me smile when I get back from a long day at work.

    Was it the monkey fabric?

I think there has been a lot of glossing-over-glossing-over-glossing here. I suspect there will be a lot of de-glossing and re-glossing at some point!

I liked the grey in your hallway (not just saying that after dissing grey front doors!). That didn't look like undercoat - maybe because it was indoors? It worked well with the changing light in the hallway.
