Question. How long does/should it take for a solicitor to register stuff with land registry etc?
Completion was over 2 months ago now. Haven't had the deeds yet, & another deed the solicitor was due to draw up. Plus, had requested details for drawing up a will.
Is over 2 months usual for a solicitor to tie up all the stuff?

I forgot to congratulate you on the house purchase, jelly. Congrats! :)
    Is it in Wolverhampton?
Are you thrusting a bit more groin now?

Just taken something off the buying list for tomorrow. Pine table/4 chairs - not needed in the short term.... so that's on the longer term list. No point overloading the car with stuff that needs to be made if, realistically, I'm not going to get round to making it for months as I can't face it :)

I'll get a £17 table (screw on legs/easy) .... don't need a proper table/chairs for months (years?) really. So it'll go down on the list for when the house is further forward and a requirement to be seated at a table is pressing.

It's one thing to 'want' these things - another thing entirely to have the get-up-and-go to select them, lug them through the tills, across the car park, into the back of the car, drive them home, lug them into the house, unpack and assemble. Some tasks are simply too large to feel like facing.

Until this moment, I've managed in life without even knowing there was such a thing as seaweed caviar ....

My list is: £17 table, £5 set of 3 saucepans, £35 chest of drawers, two 40p plates. Got a list somewhere....

No curtains - looked at theirs and they've a tiny range, in one size only.

Never looked at the food there....now looking through online, but I doubt anything will catch my eye.

Nobody can come out of IKEA with ONLY the things that were on their original list.
