If you don't fancy anything savory Pastures, I can highly recommend the Dime Bar cakey thing and a cup of coffee. Or alternatively they just do a bowl of chips which is, as cheap as, um, chips. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I looked through all the food on the website and there was nothing that caught my eye. That is food to buy/take away home.
I've eaten in the restaurant 2x before, once about 25 years ago - had meatballs; once about 7 years ago, had a child's meal of fish/chips/peas.
I am a savoury food liker ... not really a sweet food liker. Cake or quiche ... quiche every time (unless it's nasty bacon or mushrooms or something else odd).0 -
Nobody can come out of IKEA with ONLY the things that were on their original list.
Watch me
Although I think in the bazaar they have stuff that's not on their website. A lot of things you really need to see/touch too. My list is things to buy and things to see/touch.
It's "only" a 40 or so mile round trip now .... in past lives it's been a 350 mile return trip. So I don't have to get everything in one go.
I think I prefer their style from years ago; had a lovely pair of sofas from them in about 1990 ... wish they still did those (at the same price, of course). Their sofas seem over-priced now.0 -
lemonjelly wrote: »Question. How long does/should it take for a solicitor to register stuff with land registry etc?
Completion was over 2 months ago now. Haven't had the deeds yet, & another deed the solicitor was due to draw up. Plus, had requested details for drawing up a will.
Is over 2 months usual for a solicitor to tie up all the stuff?
Assuming no one else has answered, my sister reckons that is on the longer side. But, some land registry offices are quicker than others and it can depend who they've used, there is a backlog at the moment, and there can be slowdowns if for example the solicitors have to get proof from a bank that previous mortgages have been discharged and so on.
So it's not unusual for it to take this long, and not worth worrying yet, I think was the gist of it.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Well, I've managed not to leave my keys in the front door tonight. I've checked quite a few times

Speaking of front doors, I've been thinking about colours in preparation for getting Door Man 2 round for a quote (when he is back from hols...).
I'd originally been thinking of something like this: http://www.farrow-ball.com/vert-de-terre/colours/farrow-ball/fcp-product/100234
But then someone at one of the Ideal Home type places mentioned that it was very 'in' at the moment and I went off it
And I keep noticing it on front doors.
I'm now thinking of this type of colour: http://www.littlegreene.com/turquoise-blue
There is waaay too much choice.0 -

They sell meatballs in the food shop (freezer item). And lingonberry sauce, and that gravy stuff

. Rather than have to go through a lot of faff, I rang and pretended that I had bought the house recently and had no death certificate blah blah and that he was nothing to do with me. I do feel quite bad about the last part of the sentence, but I really get fed up of sending stuff out, particularly now that 7 months has elapsed.
!
That sounds so painful. If it was the better alternative than the 'faff' I cannot imagine what that must feel like.

One of the fabrics I loved was at a main stream plaice to day as cushions. Off the list. Still pretty mind, but, I want it to feel like MY home, not anyone's.
I think I posted that fabric here a couple of years ago now. Glad I didn't go at a faster pace that normal.0 -
Yeah, mine's a bit like that FB one, although a little lighter I think. Hard to compare real paint -v- what a screen shows a paint as from a photo. But then someone at one of the Ideal Home type places mentioned that it was very 'in' at the moment and I went off it

I think the Turquoise Blue is .... er .... there must be a polite word somewhere... ah, got it "a little too much maybe?"
You need to take a photo of your house/door, then superimpose the different colours on it. Probably an app for that.0 -

My neighbour has a door the same colour as that top one Nikks. From a distance, it doesn't have much of a sheen to it, meaning that it looks like it has been left undercoated. It's nice, but not lovely. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
