Me too. I think its because I said I like hiking.

That's interesting. I didn't put that. I think the reason I got New Zealand was because I answered several questions with "travel" so they've sent me to the other side of the world.

So, £320 for that rather smart bed! Is the huge under-bed drawer included in that price?
It is. As are the pull out side tables.
I actually went looking for bedside cabinets. Couldn't find any suitable/I liked. Saw the bed, with the drawer & pull out tables/cabinets & really liked it.
It was £100 more. They knocked £100 off, so I started saving. They then had an extra 20% off weekend (which knocked another £100 off!) so I went for it. With the mattress to, got a proper result!

Not sure what you're disagreeing with? I didn't say that having a bug-out kit isn't a good idea.

Just that with enough money the chance of ever actually needing a bug-out kit is close to none, because there's very little that you can't buy with enough money. Including passports and citizenship if you have to.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from, but in some parts of the world getting to somewhere that you can spend the money safely to then get out is the first priority.

That takes a vehicle, supplies, etc.

Hence the Go Bag, full fuel tank, supplies, etc.
The scenarios where money doesn't matter are also the scenarios where you're very likely to end up dead anyway.

Where we were it was often the case that the biggest threat was from people motivated by ideology rather than money.

The ability to avoid contact with the locals if it all went pear shaped, and make it to safer areas under your own steam, was at least as important as having enough cash to try and buy/bribe your way out should you fail....

As by doing so you risked them just shooting you and taking your money anyway.

Life is cheap in some parts of the world, and there are some scenarios where having, or rather trying to use, money is more likely to get you killed than not...

It was the merry hill one. The bed will be 5 weeks I believe. If you mean the mattress, it was in the clearance section as the last one I think.

    Comgratulations on paying your subs
    And getting your cert :)

I'm still set on displaying my brownie sports day certificates from 1985 on the wall of the downstairs loo. We don't have a downstairs loo, which is a problem.
I intend putting up my graduation photo here!
Obviously the atom bomb pic & stuff was more important...:o

On aprons, I appear to have 3...
