It's not a question of money .... I only set it up to cover one day when MSE was to be down a few years ago.... and, for that reason, I chose poor software. It was never intended for further use... just a quick/dirty solution for a day or so max.....
The software is a nightmare to administer, it's old, it's slow, it's bizarre, there's a huge lack of control .... and there seems to be 100,000 hits/day on the site from spammers etc.... who chew up the bandwidth.
I have increased it many times ... and every time, the following month, it's used up again.
What I really need to do is install new forum software there - better stuff.... and now I have a house it's on the list to do it ... just not today.0 -

You have to monitor and police it as well24/7 job I think.

I set it so people have to post X times before I have to approve it.... which never really worked as I wouldn't have the time to find/approve them.
When I last looked there was a new spammer creating a post every 3-5 minutes, 24/7. It's HUGE.0 -
It's now a list of one (with two teeny weeny sub points).

I'm missing a piece of logic here.
Due to easyjet (and others) withdrawing flights to Isr@el, I have a friend over there who can't get home and I know of someone here who can't get out there.
So lets say the friend out there extends their stay in their hotel (assuming hotel has room). Hotel gets paid for their stay. English friend is on a non-refundable room rate so has to pay for the nights that they haven't actually used in the hotel. Airline should be liable for the former and travel insurance for the latter so neither person is personally out of pocket. The hotel will be paid twice for the same room.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. That's the time now, exactly. I expect that Nikki has her feet up.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Yes, but not quite like that...
I've got one foot up on a second chair (I'm sat at a round-type dining table).
I'd have been finished if I could find one flipping reference for a method.
I know we improvised a method based on a paper, but I wasn't clever enough to write it down anywhere. I'm sure I've got the paper here *somewhere*, but it'd be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
If I ever do a PhD again (joke!) I'm going to make better notes. They started off really well, then gradually got worse and worse.0 -
Opinions please....
Ex hubby has asked for me to send copies of the boy's birth certificates but without a clear explanation as to why he wants them (gave one reason to me but a completely different one to eldest)....what would you do?
Send them. You do not need to know the reason. For eldest I would ask him if he wants to send it to his dad...afterall he is an adult,it is his birth certificate and his father.
Greater minds than mine got there first on this0
