OK - I give up. I've searched and searched online and can't find the reference.

Time for dinner, and I'm also awarding myself that glass of wine even though I technically haven't finished. I've been through the chapter and double checked that I haven't missed anything else so I'm happy to go back asking for my supervisor to point me in the direction of the reference.

I'll have to restrict wearing that one to indoors, alone, only now.... and it was one of my "best/kept for summer use" ones.

Just checked the label too ... it was a posh one - M&S!! Although I did get it from a charity shop.... lovely black/white sleeveless summer cotton top with front buttons ... gone.

You need to wear a pinnie when cleaning and cooking. I always wear pinnies. I am wearing one now.

    Have you got a pinnie?

I think I might have 99.99% rescued the top I liked and destroyed. I've had it in cold soak with detergent all day, in the downstairs loo sink.... been whooshing it about and changing the water every 3-4 hours. Finally looked OK, hung it up on a hangar and outside to dry, when I spotted some tiiiiny bits that were still there (the edges of the bleach/dye bleed) .... so now I've bunged it in a bowl and hot-footed it upstairs and filled the bowl with warm water and detergent and given it another good whooshing about .... now it's in soak again.

No.... but I wasn't on a Cleaning Event. I spent the day ambling back/forth, between lounging and doing little bits here and there as things caught my eye or I fancied them.

Those taps are annoying.... as I've been trying to rinse out the top today, every time I turn the tap on it sprays back off the top. It's also nigh on impossible to control the flow.... unless you go reeeeaaalllly slooooowly and get a minor miracle too.

Horrid taps/sinks they are..... dunno who invented them, or why 'everybody' thinks they're a great idea to have. Give me standard turning taps any day .... or maybe it's just cheap fittings that are jerky and splash back.

I looked through one carrier bag, and whilst I didn't find The Reference, I found £4 in M+S Vouchers (expiring end of Nov 2014) and two CDs. Bonus!

It's officially wine o'clock and I've got a pepperoni pizza 'cooking' on the panini press :)

I am officially taking a nap.

Unofficially I'm too tired to socialise.

None of us will be surprised to read this.

I hope you get a second wind and enjoy the fruits of your labour. You deserve a sucessful and jolly weekend, then a long lie in.

Sounds like a great start to the weekend!!

I've never seen a pannini press... but then I've never actually had a proper pannini either :)

I guess it's just like a toasted sandwich maker, but a different shape/plate.

It's raining here now. Big spots. Big, heavy, slow, summer rain.

I was at the beach this afternoon. 3.30pm dark clouds gathered and...thunder and lightening. Took 45 minutes to get out of the beach car park as the beach emptied. Afterwhich about half a dozen fat raindrops and that was it.

I think it rained here for about 15-20 minutes, then it stopped. Blue skies and whispy white clouds now, but it's cooler.

Exactly. It's just a cheapo bottle of Aldi plonk, but boy does it taste good this evening.

Panini press - it's exactly the same principle as a toasted sarnie maker, but has ridged plates instead of making 'pockets'.

It was a moving in donation from a friend who'd been given it by some neighbours who were upgrading their panini press (!!!!!!?). It had been sat in my friend's cupboard as she had neither the use nor the space for it. I didn't really want it either, but since the oven got switched off it's actually been incredibly useful. There isn't much that can't be cooked on a panini press :)

Actually, I might have to buck up my thinking re the oven. Not only is autumn/ winter only getting closer, but I might have a temporary (6 weeks) lodger at the end of Aug...
