Yes, could do that, of course. No idea where I would find anybody who wanted to do that, though.

:wave:My holidays are probably similar to yours. I camp every once in a while with friends.

The reason we don't go on holidays (apart from to this event that lots of our friends go to, and to stay with friends/family) is because we have nobody to go on holiday with, and I'm too extroverted to enjoy a holiday that didn't include any adults for me to talk to.
Sounds like an excellent opportunity for Lydia time, with a good book, or other hobby for when the kids are asleep. No marking, lesson planning & so on.
Even just a delightful evening watching the sunset with wine or tea/coffee.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I'm super annoyed now .... I HATE these modern sinks - you get an immovable water spout that sprays water out (at you) and a disk in the bottom of the sink that the water lands on and sprays back from. It's a nuisance and difficult when you're brushing your teeth etc to use the sink easily.... and then rinsing the sink down becomes a pain.

Yesterday I was doing something with a little bleach - and one of those taps sprayed the front of me with a weak bleach solution (probably), so, as I liked the top I was wearing, I immediately took it off and put the top into soak in another sink of the same design ..... only to discover that those "plugs" leak, so the water drains out. I'd refilled the sink 2x or so and just now took it out to hang it up to dry (as I'd only had it on 10 minutes yesterday) .... and it seems [a] there WAS bleach present ... as the water drained, the bleach was more concentrated and it's made the black run into the white and as the rest of the material was damp it all then spread .... so I've a nice summer top that's gone from "might have a bit of bleach down the front" to "huge bleach/water stain covering the whole of the top"

    :(

I'll have to restrict wearing that one to indoors, alone, only now.... and it was one of my "best/kept for summer use" ones.

Just checked the label too ... it was a posh one - M&S!! Although I did get it from a charity shop.... lovely black/white sleeveless summer cotton top with front buttons ... gone.

On beds, dreams had an extra 20% off the other day. I went & ordered this:

I strolled round examining mattresses, & found one that was £650 in the clearance going for £305. Liked it, so went for it. When they billed me, the mattress was on their system for £149, & they honoured it!

All in all, saved about £250!

I probably would (see glamping by the seaside in return for the offer of some extra gardening/ cleaning experience). No way I'd try towing a caravan though, I'm afraid.

    Feeling old part 1:

Eye of the Tiger went to number one 32 (Thirty Two) years ago.

That would probably have been on the radio at some point when my mum was changing my nappies :rotfl:

I think your experience with drawers is that poor quality drawers are annoying. What does work rather well is a wooden bedstead with drawers underneath on castors. No messing around with rails, etc.

Annoyingly, it looks like MIL's high quality bed (with drawers!) will go to the dump. She smoked rather a lot, so most people won't want her stuff.

    Something like these:

When Gen said "part 1" ... I don't think it was an invitation to contribute "part 2"
