What you need is a Heidi. Who would have joyously rund round the garden for a few minutes with her prize and then buried it under a privet.:o

That sounds great! My lot would just eat it:o. Apart from moles which it seems are prizes that do not taste good. They often bring back stuff to show us before trying to keep us. Ours aren't the kind who bury. Even kiwi, which is odd.

I can send her down to moult in your house instead of mine and see if she can train the rest of them? All my spitz have been diggers, it must be a breed trait, along with liking to sleep with their back legs propped up on the skirting board. Very strange!

I've never spent time with a spitz, could be fun!

Kiwi lacks several breed traits. Breed is meant to like swimming. ( he cried 'wee wee wee' like the fifth piggie, all the way home and wouldn't look at us for two days) they are meant to be one person dogs, kiwi loves me, and RP, and non RP ( he adores non RP) and fir, and the clients, and the woman he met at the nursery that time and....

He only doesn't really love builders tbh, but he is curious about them.

They are not meant to be noisy, but kiwi is rather outspoken!

    And so on!

Btw, obviously I woke up this morning. The big exhaustion seemed to recede at 4:20 this morning. Hopefully I'm awake for a while now. I'll see how today goes before counting any chickens though.

Going through the "changing the BT line etc" process today. Just tried to do it online, but I'm changing telephone exchanges and then it flagged up "please call ..... your service is not available at the new exchange". Good job I kept the old router!! The engineer had tried to take my previous BT router away and said it's just good for the bin. I boxed it up and kept it "in case" ... and this is an "in case" moment.

OH and I both have Toshiba laptops and are happy with the quality.

For a long time, I called the mutt Dog, but really she wasn't big enough to justify that. So, now she's called Doglet.

We've called the younger of my parents' border collies "Doglet" since he was a puppy. It's a great name!

Except that the quiz people can't spell "dessert". Whipped cream doesn't usually make most people think of deserts unless they happen to think that the soft peaks of the cream look like sand dunes.

I think that's one of my dyslexic-avoidance words - "pudding" is far safer.

Sod the waggots! How far can fleas and lice jump?

In Mongolia we were warned not to approach recently-dead wildlife because fleas there can carry the plague. That wasn't a warning we needed to hear twice.

    DEfinitely! We'll have a whip-round.
