Tomterm, are you around? How's the business empire building shaping up? :)

Snuggling a baby and listening to baby squeaks...sounds wonderful.

As well as the helpful Isaac, do you have Sam at present?

I think I'm going to try and get to London at so e point to have a snuggle with a squeaky baby.

The local council have planned a very expensive cultural event this afternoon which involves drummers suspended from cranes. In this weather, I think it might be cancelled. We haven't had very local thunder and lightening here, but it is definitely around. Probably not a good idea to dangle men from the sky. The rain is biblical - only stopped for a bit in the night after it had started and I think part of our new guttering has collapsed. I'm in the bath with the window open. The breeze is nice.

Phone says between 70-90% of chance every hour until 9pm.

Apparantly, I am being trivial, but at a cost of £30 a go and just wanting everyone to have their own lead without scrabbling around somewhere, I am beyond frustrated. DD then walks in and asks me where her lightening cable is.

    I despair.

He has also collected two London parking tickets this week. Expense for no reason other than being bl**dy minded. He then expects "us" (ie. me) to challenge one for him. The last one had me intears in front of the adjudicator (not a nice man, despite him
upholding the appeal). I am not going through that again.

You are not being trivial, he is being thoughtless/inconsiderate.

I am the one who collects parking tickets here..I have to sort them out/pay them. I am now on a mission to reduce them as it was probably one every couple of months.

One of the benefits of being an adult ..you get to sort your own mess out.

I know you work together but this task is not a business split of responsibilities/duties/organisation...more like you are acting like his mum.

Yep. He sounds all squishy and scrumptious. Might have to make polite conversation with his mum though in order to get close.:)

We had some thunder last night and rain for a good few hours.

It is quite humid here now but no rain.

DD is off to a wedding in the New Forest this afternoon so I hope the weather holds up for them.

That's actually a good question that I have asked myself. I was very young at the time, and I probably lacked the dexterity needed to pick the toy up and turn it over. Either that, or I was habituated into the idea that it was not something i did!

I suspect you were focused on an outcome for which praise had been given (hammer the pegs through the holes). Only then some beggur came along and undid all your good work before you got any praise. Imagine someone doing that. Bar stewards.

I decided to get The Boy to crawl by getting a ball and putting it on the floor a bit away from him. Finally, after umpteen attempts, he finally did it! He got up on his hands and knees and crawled.............backwards. <!!!!!! is wrong with you son smilie>

    Thanks. Slightly reassured.

My job description involves everything that he doesn't want or can't do, regardless of whether I want to do it or can do it. And the kids and the house. I fail at a lot of it.

Wow. The rain is raining. The light changes constantly, it's interesting.
