Friends, Romans and Countrymen, lend me your ears...I need advice!

The shoes I am currently wearing to work (which I have had since spring/summer 2013...I think, possibly 2012)...can talk !!!

You know what I mean, the bottom is completely coming away from the shoe so when I walk it flaps around.

This has been so for a long while but I notice it more now as the flappy bit has started to drag along the floor when I walk!

This is how serious my MSE venture is...technically I do not NEED new shoes. I can keep wearing them until they actually completely fall apart...and they still look okay from the top!

But is that just really silly...If I buy new I'd like to today as OH and I are heading to a friend's house after work (for a very MSE cheap i.e FREE evening in :money:) and I'd rather turn up in shoes that aren't embarassing!

Or I could try superglue...but even then I have to buy the superglue!!!

AAAARRRGGGHHHHH...to NSD or not to NSD, that is the question!!!

t2rry sounds like an emergency to me.A lot of nsders don't include emergency/essential spends....problem solved?!

The question is,do you have the money needed to buy new shoes?

I would have to consider this a spend...In my head it's not essential ... although I don't consider food (apart from 1 box of cereal and beans on toast!) essential so not sure my head is the right place for this dilemma!!

I do have the money...I have £50 spending money for the month BUT I'm SO conflicted between spending and not...I have some older ones at home that I don't think are in quite such a state, although they are MUCH older and are pretty manky looking...oh dear lord who ever thought this could cause such a contradiction in my little brain !!!
