I've had a c25k app on my phone for ages but used the excuse of being tired and having too much work to do to not do it. I'm contemplating starting next week, though I'm on holiday the week after and although lots of exercise (walking in the mountains, swimming in the pool) is planned for that week so I don't know whether to leave it and stick with Aqua Zumba and a few lengths for next week. Hoping that if I start good habits in the holidays, they'll continue during termtime!

Why not start today? If you don't keep it up when you're on holiday, you can just pick up where you left off when you're back.

W5R2 completed last night, 20 mins solid tomorrow to get through! I know I can do it, done it once before, so just hope I get a good night's sleep so I'm up at 6 for my run.

I ran after work yesterday which was a first, I'm normally an early morning runner. I really struggled to sleep. but that might be down to missing my dog, I'm not sure.

Hey Guys!! :D So glad people are doing this, havn't checked in here for a while, I am really still planning on doing this (starting again should I add) and I have taken up more 'walking' to build up a bit more to it (3 hours today ...although normally more like an hour or so)

I know it sounds like just another excuse esp when I just read peng said the same thing ;) but I am just over loaded with work atm and with the two kids under two the only time I get to work is night so I've had a lot of 1am nights only to be woken up at 7am by the kids...I know full well if I start this running and getting up at 5:45 it will last only a few days before I collapse of exhaustion so the pin is stuck in at least for now.

It is dying off now...and perhaps this might be my last late night depends how the orders go. I'll be back...and this marathon sounds like a really good idea does anyone know how to find them? I am one of those people who won't study unless the exam is looming over my head so this would be a major motivational thing for me.

I didn't manage my run this morning as I have come down with cold/flu symptoms. I still feel rough, but I feel an overwhelming urge to go for a run regardless of how i feel.

    Good/bad idea?

Me personally - I would :o but I think I'm addicted! Try going out for a walk and see how you feel, you might feel the urge to run but I would keep it short so if you do feel worse you haven't got miles to get home ;)

Week 1 completed - feeling very proud of myself! It certainly hasn't been easy, but that's one week down.

I got to the last run of Week 3 about a week ago and when I got home the front of my right knee was very painful. I iced it and have rested it for over a week. Am planning on starting again on Sunday (can't today and my twins are six tomorrow, big day, family party and barbeque until late) as it feels much better and is only really a bit painful coming down the stairs and when I wake up first thing, until I get moving.

I am AMAZED at how quickly I took to this and how much I WANT to do it. I've lost 2st 8lbs since mid-May (via Slimming World and exercise, including C25k) and I'm loving it!

I've got some pretty good running shoes but I'm due a bonus at work in a month or so and will go and get my gait tested properly then and see what they recommend as I know knee problems are often caused by incorrect shoes.

Keep at it everyone!! We can do this!!
