I generally wear shorts/hiphuggers/hipsters whatever you like to call them, usually cotton but I do have some more flouncy ones for under fancy dresses and so on. I like them because they're comfy, I think they look nice and they don't have loads of stitching around the edges so there's no VPL. I tend to just get them from Debenhams as it's one of the few places I know they'll have a bra in my size too.

I am overweight and I wear boy short knickers which are basically like hotpants. I weighed myself today and I've lost half a stone.. yippee!!!! I am now 14 and a half stone and heading for a size 20. This time last year, I was 16 and a half stone, and in Jan, when I had my colostomy reversal surgery, I was 16 stone, so I've lost 2 stone in a year! I still feel so big and I've got a long way to go, but I'm really pleased with the slow steady weight loss! I bought a nail polish rack from ebay which came today and the bottles look so pretty on it although they don't all fit! I painted my nails a dark inky navy today too .

Two stone in a year is wonderful. I like the dark inky nail polish too. I got some from superdrug in the spring and find it goes with a lot of outfits.

I have fitted in a bit of fabbing today. The biggest thing for me is exploring how to totally change my diet. I have finromyalgia and struggle with energy levels and joint pain. I was very inspired by Fat, sick and nearly dead and spent most of my free time reading round juicing and changing to a plant based diet. I did another big shop of fruit and veg today as I have felt so good with the small changes this week. I have always eaten lots of fruit and veg, but along with lots of rubbish.

    Today I have eaten:

smoothie: cucumber, mint, spinach, celery, lime, watermelon and chia seeds.

A huge salad: spinach, rocket, beetroot, apple, walnut, cress and a little crumbled feta with some apple cider vinegar,

Another smoothie: banana, 2 dates, poppy seeds, almond butter and a little water to mix.

Later I am having a bowl of homemade soup: garlic, chilli, coconut milk, sweet potato, butternut squash & celery.

Any comments welcome as I am still finding my feet.

I went to the aqua aerobics which I really enjoyed. I have found out there are sessions on Monday, wed & Friday lunchtime, so intend going through the holidays . As a big treat I booked an aromatherapy massage for next Monday after the aqua aerobics. They do a half price offer on a Monday and its £17.50 for a massage.

I also got a gorgeous Monsoon blouse in colours I love for £3.95 from a charity shop. Still also reading on 333 with a view to a wardrobe that works.

Happy fabbing and thank you everyone :)

    I'm back :D

I was away with the family for a few days and have come back ready to get in shape!

Before I went I did the works depilated head to toe, hair dyed, manicure, pedicure, makeup clear out, capsule wardrobe packed and although I felt I had done as much as I could I realised that I have a way to go before I will be content with my appearance. My lovely hubby gave me lots of compliments on holiday and that has motivated me further.

So tomorrow I start the small steps that my PT outlined to me and I will meal plan a clean week with plenty of protein and far less carbs and sugar. I have a session with them this week  when I will get my home fitness plan until then I will continue with my C25K plan, pilates and yoga.

While I am at home with my gorgeous baby I am determined to turn my life around!
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

aww thanks Prudent :) I have fibro too and also M.E . Do you take any meds for it? I'm on pregablin and also morphine but I have arthritis too.Fibro is so painful, isn't it. do you get the fatigue too\? Aqua aerobics is so fun! I haven't done it for a long time tho. I've just started a really gentle yoga class for people with M.E and fibro and it's so relaxing, but water based exercise is my fave. Your diet sounds so good! I'm vegan but I haven't juiced for a while. I do have smoothies though.

Aww FL it is so good to hear from someone up against fibro too. The M.E. sounds quite a doubly whammy. I am off meds just now, simply because I am really wary of the side effects. I get really bad fatigue and struggle with this as I have a demanding job which is mentally, physically and emotionally draining even for my 'well' colleagues. Having said that I do love my job, so I don't want to give up. I am now looking for another way forward. I was very inspired by Fat, sick & nearly dead.

Rummer that is so encouraging :T. It would be good to hear some tips from you as you seem to have made good progress. I am very interested in how you have achieved a capsule wardrobe.

yes, I don't blame you about med side effects, I have liver damage from the pregablin, which isn't good, but it does help pain. It's brilliant that you do manage to keep working, although it must be very hard too. Collegues can't see the pain or fatigue and don't always understand.I've had M.E and fibro for 12 years, and I stopped working 4 years ago, only because I was a massage therapist and I developed arthritis in my hands , spine and feet.. I miss working so much and I really miss feeling useful and having a role. I'm thinking about doing some voluntary work when I've recovered from my last big surgery.

I agree FL that colleagues don't understand. I have set myself a goal of saving some of my full time wage for a further two years and then I will go part time. I suppose it is why I am so committed to this reboot of my health through better diet and exercise. When I struggle day in and day out, two years feels a long time. I would love to turn things around to the point where full time is manageable.

What fabbing is everyone planning for today?

I have done my back exercise and managed to increase them a fair bit since last weekend, so very happy with this week's progress. I need to do both my toe and finger nails.

It is OH's birthday today, so that will involve a day out and a nice meal somewhere.

I got up really hungry this morning and had a huge breakfast of:

2 poached eggs and along with them I grilled 2 tomatoes, a large mushroom and half a pepper - all basted with some red pesto, basil leaves and maldon sea salt.

Apart from that I will just have fruit and a main course at the meal. I will probably have salmon or trout. OH hasn't decided where he wants to go yet.
