Rummer & Bitsy I will be very interested to see how you both get on with the hair care and other products. I have experimented with a couple of homemade face masks, but that is as far as I have got. Will try apple muncher's hair care at some point though.

Maman I was wondering about special occasion clothes too. I am thinking of organising my bedroom like this:

wardrobe: those of the 33 which need hanging plus special occasion wear.

    Bedside table drawers: underwear

Under bed drawers: 1 of the three for the bed linen for that bed. I am going to use the other three to store the clothes I am not using in that section of the 333 rotation.

Chest of drawers: hair dryer, straighteners, 333 clothes that can be folded plus one drawer for special school clothes e.g. my red outfit for red nose day, my Robert Burns t shirt for Burn's night, a green top for St. Patricks day. The remaining drawers for nightwear/loungewear

Large cupboard (this is roughly the height and width of a small wardrobe) Top section with doors: sports clothing, middle open shelves: baskets with skin care and make up products, Bottom section: holidays abroad clothes

Any suggestions most welcome please :)

Hi! Re project 333 - it's 33 items for 3 months, so in theory these 3 months should loosely fit into seasons, then you can switch to warmer/cooler clothes. If you're going on holiday, you're allowed a small 4-5 item holiday capsule (as we often wear different clothes on holiday to those in "normal" life) and if you have events coming up you're also allowed a small 1-2 item capsule for that.

Ah thank you SB now I see how to fit in the special occasions. I am thinking of organisation my rotation by the school terms with each new block starting at the beginning of term. This will give me the holidays to do the change over and buy anything I need. This frees up term time from shopping. So over the summer holidays, I am going to do a big de-clutter and get the autumn term ready to go. In Scotland we have four terms: Mid August until mid October, Mid October until Christmas, start of January to end of March and April to end of June. This doesn't fit as neatly as three months each, but it feels the most manageable way for me.

SB, I'd already had a look at your blog, I saw the link on the P333 fb page the other day. Nice to know it's you!

I really enjoy reading about everyone doing the project. It might sound a bit odd, but I've been using it in order to help me pad out my wardrobe. When I first read about the idea ages ago, I counted all the stuff in my wardrobe and I owned 48 items, I them chucked 5 of them out, so it wasn't really a challenge to me as I just didn't have that much.

The more I read about the capsule wardrobes the easier it is for me to find the things I want and make them work for me. I can't say I haven't bought a couple of things thinking they were ideal and they just haven't worked, but I'm certainly more hits than misses. Other than shoes, I'm still struggling with shoes (I don't wear leather).

No fabbing for me this weekend, just keeping things ticking over and hoping for the best! Have a good week everyone.

Lizzie - sorry that the to$$er is still being an ar$hole and that daughter has probably not got the message yet, you can only do so much for others, at some point they have to sort themselves out, it must be so hard for you when they are all trying to drain the life out of you. Hugs from me, and as I know you like dogs, a little lick from the furry one in the avatar:)

Enoy the pampering session and I am sure that once you have taken a deep breath and done the theatre trip by yourself you will be OK with doing it again, there are quite a few things that I enjoy that OH doesn't and over the years I have become more confident to go off and do them on my own.

The project 333 sounds good for some of you, I considered it a while back, but have never got organised. I have far too many clothes for my present lifestyle, but as I like most of them, they fit and are in colours that work I am reluctant to get rid of too many, I am a bit "the princess and the pea" and prefer to wear cotton, linen, cashmere etc and have thriftily acquired most of them from sales, CS's and clothes agencies as well as *bay. My best buy is a classic LBD, American designer which came with the tags still attached from US store with a value of 278 dollars, I paid a little under £25 including postage:D

Last night was a real challenge food wise as I had had a long and busy day and my mind was totally focussed on having sweeties :o However I kept my focus and had something healthy instead :)

Started the day with a good breakfast and I have a walk planned for later with my DD. Now the schools are out I am tweaking the structure of my day to make sure we do some fun activities including park trips, crafting etc to make sure my DD has a lovely break. Thank goodness for loom bands ;)

I am starting to get nervous about my PT sessions :o I am determined to get fit and healthy however I am worried my resolve will buckle when I am hot sweaty and tired :rotfl: It will all be worth it in the end! Currently I am the lightest I have been in 5 years and am now lighter than my OH so I am getting places all be it slowly!

Oh Rummer I can so relate to what you are saying about your resolve when hot and sweaty. I got up all achy this morning after yesterday's cycle ride. I had to force myself to do my exercises. I am going to Aqua aerobics later, but the carrot is that I have booked a massage after it. I haven't had one for about 7 years, so very much looking forward to it. It sounds like your DD will have lots of nice things in the holidays :)

LessonLearned, hope you had a wonderful birthday. Your comment "The best is now, the best is today" has really inspired me. I am very guilty of "keeping thins for best" and best never seems to come around. I am going to try and take this on as my life motto! Rummer and Sweaty Betty have also inspired me with their capsule wardrobes and project 333. I have been trying so hard to whittle my wardrobe down to a capsule one but struggle with letting things go. I think project 333 might be a good way to trim the fat.

Speaking of fat, gym this lunchtime. I must go, I have been making excuses since I got back off holiday!

I alo dyed my hair intense copper this weekend which I am very happy with. I curled my hair for work today, painted my nails a nice turquoise last night, gave myself a facial peel and today am wearing my new ankle boots that my wonderful OH got me for my birthday. All in all, I'm feeling pretty fab!

PQ your nail and nails sound lovely. Like you, I do tend to keep things for best. LL has set me a real challenge. This morning a lovely 8 place dinner set arrived from Villeroy & bosch. It is this one:
    http://www.villeroy-boch.co.uk/shop/patterns-1/lina-aqua.html & this one
http://www.villeroy-boch.co.uk/shop/patterns-1/lina-cherry.html (4 of each set) It was a comp win. I need to challenge myself not to keep it for best.

    So lovely, well done!

My advice would be to use a piece of it right away. Whenever I get a new piece of fabric I cut a bit off it as soon as I get home, that way I know it won't become something that I'm too scared to cut into at a later date. Sounds a bit daft but it works for me.
