    Good morning everyone.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. 63 !! Where have all the years gone. In my head I'm still 16, in love with John Lennon, wearing my mini dresses and flaunting my Mary Quant style hair cut, courtesy of my lifelong friend Roger who is probably the best hairdresser in the world.

(I have to say that because at that time I used to work in his salon as a Saturday girl).

Anyway I have a nice peaceful day planned. I am back at the bungalow this morning to have a relaxing bath and a bit of a pamper. Then over to spend time with OH (he was a bit down in the dumps last night) and this evening my fab boys will be taking their old mum out for a nice meal.

I am currently commuting between the bungalow and prop 2 which is still a building site with very limited facitilites - hence bathing here.

It's a long story but basically we have been so badly let down by plasterers that the build is way behind schedule. We are now on our 3rd plasterer. He works at a snails pace and can only manage about 5 hours a day because of child care issues. He is, however, doing a great job so I'll just have to grit my teeth and be patient.

The house will get done and it will be fab-u-lous - it will be worth the wait in the end……

    I shall will it so.:rotfl:

You are all putting me to shame with your healthy eating, exercise, and wardrobe sorting (Pru that bedroom furniture looks lovely). I'm just about covering the basics and am really looking forward to getting to grips with things soon.

I did have a lovely birthday breakfast this morning. Home grown raspberries - within ten minutes of being picked off the bush - yummy. Can't get much fresher than that, so packed with vitamins too.

LL I don't think any of us ages in our head - it is just nobody tells our bodies that. I feel for you with the build. We have just finished renovating OH's house this April after a long two years. Thankfully we got a buyer in a week and the whole transaction was through in four weeks. I feel in total upheaval again though as we have now started some work on my house. It has had a lot of work done over the last 5 years though, so it is just decorating thankfully.

Must get off MSE and do some sorting...

    Hello all
Well after a weekend away was scuppered by bad traffic, I've actually made the most of it! I had a lush bath and face mask yesterday morning, cleared out a load more clothes (2 more bin bags to the charity shop) and started to pack for my holiday this week.

I've been doing project 333 since Tuesday (this http://333orbust.blogspot.co.uk/ is my blog if any of you are interested - more a record for me than anything else). I'm quite enjoying it, but finding that my favourite clothes aren't necessarily the best ones for this project in terms of fit, going with other clothes etc. but I'm seeing it as a journey to a better wardrobe :)

Ahhh just lost my post. Bl**dy computer!!

LLHappy birthday:bdaycake: Have a good un!

Sweatybetty Have looked on your blog will follow with interest. Have looked at 333 before but struggled with it due to the 'keeping it for best' syndrome LL talks about. Am trying to overcome it but years of habit aren't easy to break.:o which is why mine is the cluttered closet from hell! Will be watching all of you trying to create a capsule wardrobe with interest.

Have had a bad week/weekend. Feeling v. down atm. H has been an absolute t*sser and I'm utterly sick of him creating tensions in the family. He isn't happy unless there is a drama/bad feeling/upset and it's getting me down. Being constantly told no one thinks anything of you/is looking down on you is hard to ignore even if you know deep down it's not true. I'm going to rest as best i can next week and think about my life. I want a calm life not this turmoil all the time. I feel stuck between a rock and a hardplace. :(
Have a suspicion DD1 has been lying about her finances again and am sick of everyone thinking I can sort out all their problems.

Have on the plus side bought the spa day and am going to book a seat at the theatre for the show i want to see so that's something to look forward to.

Anyway enough i'm off to try and get my head together. Sorry for the downbeat post but really needed to offload. I'll bounce back because as Bitsy says I'm in a better place than when I first posted on here but sometimes....

Hugs Lizzie sorry that you are having a tough time however you are doing the right thing by taking care of yourself and planning treats while you think through big decisions.

Well day two of healthy eating has gone well although I am hungrier today so I probably need to drink more water. I find it hard to drink throughout the day as I rarely feel thirsty so I am making a conscious effort to drink at certain times.

I did some house and garden fabbing today which was good and it looks much better for it. Tonight I am going to relax with some crochet and recharge :D

You will get there Lizzie xx you have come on leaps and bounds since I first "met" you. Don't worry about offloading that's what we are here for xxx hope you can find some clarity

LL happy birthday  hope you had a wonderful day x

Hugs and high fives all round x

Been on my own with kids all weekend as hubby was working so minimal fabbing. Managed to paint finger and toe nails, wearing a nice bright blue on my hands :D
Not done shred since first attempt, I think I need to schedule an appointment to do it. I will have to strap the boobage down well as they are hideously tender at the moment (mirena coil is good but this is a downside :().

I am giving the no poo (shampoo) method a go. Worried I am gonna look like a chip pan head but I want to be able to use less harmful stuff on my noggin and hair. I will keep you posted as to how it goes

Enjoy your Sunday night everyone, new week tomorrow :D

Bitsy we have a few friends who have not used anything on their hair for years and they look great.

I have been thinking about the products that I use on my skin and how chemical laden many of them are so I am thinking of replacing them (when they are done) with more natural products.

However I don't know where to start? I think maybe shower gel, body scrub, body moisturiser and shampoo would be the first things to replace as my face care and cosmetics tend to be long lasting. What kind of things should I go for HM or is there a company that sells low/no chemical products you would recommend?

Sending you a great big hug lizzie.:A So sorry to hear that the to$$er is at it still, so absolutely wearing for you. Keep posting and offload all you like. He can tell you what he likes but WE know different!!!

rummer, LL is something of an expert on using natural and home prepared products. I' sure when she's got a minute from her house renovations she'll post you an answer. I find if I keep a sports bottle of water by me I'm more inclined to drink regularly or I know of people who 'timetable' themselves to drink a glass every hour. Just like all fabbing, it's a case of creating good habits, whichever way you do it.

I'm another with a hugely cluttered wardrobe. I'll make a point of looking at the 333 site this week but what do you do about 'occasion' clothes? and what happens about seasonal changes? I don't think I'm hugely guilty about keeping clothes 'for best' but I do have clothes for occasions. So, for example, my everyday uniform is sort of smart casual: today I'm wearing smart jeans, a White Stuff top, scarf and a little cardi (as its chilly tonight:(). Other days/winter I'll substitute the jeans with a skirt and opaques. But sometimes I need to go to business meetings so I have a couple of smart jackets and dresses. Similarly I have some dresses that are suitable for weddings or posh lunches then a few bits of 'evening/black tie' wear for parties. I try to buy classics that don't date but I still end up with a regular everyday wardrobe and another for things I need but don't wear regularly. Is this unusual?

Hope you had a lovely time out with the boys LL.:)

Hi! Re project 333 - it's 33 items for 3 months, so in theory these 3 months should loosely fit into seasons, then you can switch to warmer/cooler clothes. If you're going on holiday, you're allowed a small 4-5 item holiday capsule (as we often wear different clothes on holiday to those in "normal" life) and if you have events coming up you're also allowed a small 1-2 item capsule for that.
