Good morning lovely ladies. Another beautiful day:D Washing machine is whirring away.

Feel as stiff as a board this morning so just going to have a soak in the bath and try and loosen up.

So ladies it's back to the beginning. Today sees the start of me taking better care of me. Please feel free to give me a gentle push when I need it.

So its back to the Paleo way of eating and time to improve my fitness, starting first with my flexibility. The orangutang is back and needs to be sent packing…..

I've gone back on to my Hi Strength Krill Oil capsules and max strength voltarol gel. I will also try and build some gentle yoga stretches into the day at some point this afternoon.

I didn't manage Pilates last week but am aiming for Friday and then I have physio booked for next Monday.

I'm meeting my sister and popping in to see mum and dad later.

Did a bit more paperwork last night and cooked the first batch of pears - the house smelt of cinnamon and pears - yummy. They are now in the freezer ready for winter puddings.

Piratey - hope you are feeling a bit better today.

Pru - hope things are ok.

Rummer - how did the gym induction go.

Not quite sure what to wear today, it looks like being a nice warm day. I might give the linen trousers a last airing before its back to winter woolies……..

    Have a great day.
  • Some lovely infectious fabbing vibes coming over t'interweb. :D

I'm feeling very much like I have just woken up from my winter slumber . I did some decluttering at the weekend and dropped a carrier bag full of clothes to the CS yesterday and also biffed out some old travel bags and suitcases that had been taking up unnecessary house room.

I also ordered myself a 'ditsy' floral dress from M&S 20% off Sale.

My car got fabbed a bit today at the annual service, they always wash and vacuum it, so saving me the job. I don't think its been so clean since the last time it was serviced. :o

    Keep on fabbing ladies.

    Good morning ladies
LL and Rummer thank you for the welcome :)

Yet another glorious september morn :j

Twinnie, I am also at the beginning of my journey to fabulousness so if you don't mind I shall jog along with you.
Yesterday I had the scraggy end layers cut from my growing locks and it looks so much better, even thicker.
LL. the in between stage is a pain but I just clipped it up as best I could and just thought of the end result. I love the pixie look, but it takes a certain 'type' to pull it off unfortunately I'm not it! I had a dream the other night that my hair was brunette again and it took years off me. I saw Nana Mouskouri on TV yesterday at 80ish she looks stunning.

Rummer, hope all went well with your gym induction?

Rosyq, hope you are feeling better. By the way I love my converse, so comfy.

Well I must fly, I am going to steam clean all the floor tiles today before it get too hot.

    Take care everyone

Yes I heard that one too.:rotfl:

Either way I think those overhead storage units are a bit dated now - not that that matters, although they can make the room look a bit cramped. They can be useful for stuff that you only need to access once in a blue moon.

I guess it all depends on what "look" you want. If you want to minimise their effect you could paint them the same colour as your walls so that they blend in rather than stand out. That might work.

Speaking of moons - look out for the last super moon of the year tomorrow.

The weather looks fine and settled (high pressure, clear skies) so we should get good view. I will sit outside and raise a glass to OH.

When I redecorated my bedroom over the summer, OH removed all the fitted units. The room looks so much lighter and more spacious. I have less storage, but that is very motivating as I am still trying to achieve the 333 challenge. Life has been turned upside down a bit this summer and I haven't had much time to shop for clothes recently but am still aiming to get an orgainised wardrobe.

A huge thank you to everyone who has asked me. It is so very much appreciated :)
DD is out of hospital, but the diagnosis was worse than expected. I don't want to share it yet as some people she knows know my username and I want DD to be able to tell them first herself. OH's brother is still in hospital as he has had a lot of complications with the pneumonia. However he is enjoying all the attention from the nurses and having all his meals made for him. I am struggling to work with terrible back pain & sciatica. My employers have been lovely, but I work in a special school so every day is quite lively. I have physio on Friday, so hoping that will help. Missed you all very much.

Pru - good to hear from you but I am sorry to hear that your news is worse than you had hoped for. Life can be so hard sometimes when those we love are ill.

Sending you lots of love and hugs.

Try to rest when you can and do what you can to pace yourself. Hope the Physio helps. Try to relax and maybe a few simple stretches for your back. If you can manage to climb into a bath a long soak with some Dead Sea salts might ease things a bit.

Just going to look at the moon, and raise a glass to my OH.
  • I saw Nana Mouskouri too. She is still lovely.

Went to see my mum and dad today.

Oh dear I found my mum much changed and it's only ten days since I saw her last. She struggled to recognise me at first:( I cannot tell you how sad that is. I was hoping for a couple of months of mum/daughter time before she loses her mental faculties completely.
Sadly it looks like it's too late.

I'm off to sit outside for a while, it's a lovely warm evening....and then an earlyish night.

Prudent Glad to hear that your daughter is home. Sorry to hear the diagnosis is not as you hoped however hopefully they can now get her the treatment she needs. Please take care of yourself and remember that we are here for you.

LL So sorry to hear about your mum, I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you. Every moment with her must be so precious.

LL, sorry to hear that your mum is deteriorating, it is so much worse for family to witness this.

I missed the supermoon on the rise and as I cannot sleep I will look out for the moonset, it is certainly bright out there maybe thats why I cannot sleep?

    Rummer, the dress looks lovely.
There was another lady on this thread (Mrs W ) that had similar taste in clothes:)

Pru, my thoughts go out to you and your family x
