• Have fun with your new diet Rummer.

I don't know where you are with make up, but at the vegan fair we went to a couple of months ago I bought some mineral foundation from a really lovely lady from Bohemian Chic minerals. Her products are great, even for someone like me who isn't very good with make up!

If there's a vegan fair near you they're usually worth the trip. We had to travel a little bit for the last one but there's one next weekend in Blackpool which is only a couple of miles up the road. There will be shoes there *yay*. I have been saving up in case there's something nice!

Morning :hello:

I've been researching food for healthy joints. There's a ridiculously long list of things, if I eat that little lot I'll gain a stone a month :rotfl: I'll try to narrow it down a bit, starting with food I really like then adjust as I go.

I can now sit with my legs crossed – I'm not talking about the way elegant, long-legged ladies do, I mean the way kids sit on the floor :D Can't tell you how thrilled I am about this, lol

Today I'm wearing perfume and mascara to do some gardening :D

I have picked up another cold! That is weeks now I have had a slight sniffle with only a few days respite. The rest of the family are the same so we are keeping the tissue industry in business :rotfl:

That aside I am continuing with the fabbing and I have been given a 6 week trial gym membership to see if it is something I would use long term. So hopefully that should help to shift the pounds too :D

Currently evaluating my Autumn wardrobe, I need to get my boots re-heeled before the weather gets bad and there are a few items that I will need to get including a smart black cardigan.

I have decided on a 1950s theme for halloween this year and then I can look glam and not like mutton dressed as lamb :rotfl:

I feel your pain rummer I've woke up with a rotten cold this morning, courtesy of my lovely son and the Leeds Festival, rolls eyes,
So not feeling so fab this morning.
My weight loss is going well though and I'm determined not to comfort eat
I pick up my Varifocals later today ah hum, really don't want to wear glasses full time but can't manage any longer so I've decided I'm going to be fab with them and have been researching make up that looks good with glasses.
I've started some new skin care. I always used to take my make up off with wipes but have noticed a few pimples so have bought Boots Botanicals cleanser, toner and moisturiser. Omg what an eye opener. You should see the rest of the rubbish that comes off my face. My skin feels lovely and clean, I can highly recommend it.
Really cheap as well.
Will have to be fabulous mainly lying on the couch today, don't feel up to much else.
Have a great Friday x

• Changing of the seasons has got me more interested in polishing myself up and a change of wardrobe again. I got so excited yesterday having found a local shop that is now stocking the Indeed Labs range and rushed out to get myself some of the much vaunted 'Pepta-bright' and Hydraluron in the hope that they really do work wonders. :D

I am heartily sick of the predominantly grey and black wintery garb of winter, so had a bit of a play around in the wardrobe for fab Friday and separated out all the navy items so I could see if I could drag myself out of the winter doldrums into more spring like outfit. I ended up with dark navy jeans and cardi with a flowery t-shirt and a swish of pink lipstick. ;)

I'll play around a bit more at the weekend in the wardrobe and see what wintery things I can swap out. Since I have lost a bit of weight I'm at a bit of a weird stage in trouser sizes - the size 14s I have been wearing are all hanging off me, yet anything in a 12 is a bit too close for comfort.

I wear glasses on occasion and one thing they are fabulous for is covering dark circles :D In fact I wear them when I am looking tired :rotfl:

Today I made a huge effort again! I put on makeup, a nice dress and styled my hair. Then I took my son out for a walk and got drenched :rotfl: My hair is now very large and unruly so all my effort was in vain! I did look fab though all be it for a short period of time :rotfl:

Great news about your weightloss kiwi, but sadly as you look forward to spring we've just got winter to come. On a bright note, it's got a bit warmer here and I'm still able to wear some summer stuff and no tights needed yet!!:D I have a holiday in the last week of the month (Classical tour of Turkey) and suspect I'll have some sun then and then come back straight into winter clothes.:(

I only need glasses (distance) for driving but love wearing my sunglasses. They give me that glamorous, Jackie O look that LL loves. I'll miss them when winter comes.

Thanks for the tip Julie. I need a new cleanser (just using up some odd bits) so might venture into Boots and give those a try.

My hairdresser called to say he's arranged a holiday for next week when I had an appointment. I had it all fixed for the day of niece's birthday party. I always try to arrange appointment for when I'm going somewhere otherwise it seems like a waste of (expensive) blow dry. Instead I called in today and got my fringe cut (free) and rebooked for just before my holiday.

Had compliments today about my nails although it's three weeks since I had them done. I just love Shellac, not a single chip although obviously a bit of new growth. I know some people think it's harsh on nails but I'm lucky my nails are strong and my reasoning is that harsh removal (acetone etc) and every three weeks or so isn't that much worse than ordinary remover on a regular basis.

Good morning ladies, hope that you are all well and have a nice weekend to look forward to:)

We had a nice little jaunt out to an EH property yseterday, overcast but warm and no pesky wind to make my eyes run:D. Soreness around eyes improving and managed just a little mascara, I wear specs and need some eye makeup. Wore my grey skinny jeans and a pretty summery top and scarf and my proper "walking" sandals so managed a good walk around the grounds:j

This morning I feel completely lifeless, I think it is a case of 1 energetic day, 1 more restful day for me, it is difficult to get the balance between pushing myself and doing too much and paying for it:(:(

Good morning :DLL I hope you are well.

Well done Kiwi and Julie :j

How frustrating about the hairdresser maman Lots of exciting plans for you though :D

My healthy eating is going really well and I am sure that within a couple of weeks I should see the benefits.

The weather here has been pretty autumnal and I have been enjoying tights and cardigans :rotfl: I really do need to think about my wardrobe as it is sadly lacking in flattering clothing. It is that age old thing of not wanting to buy until I see the impact of this change of eating. The charity shops within travelling distance are just as expensive as many high street stores and supermarkets so they are not really an option for an interim fix :(

I well remember not wanting to buy larger sizes rummer. Shame about the CS shops. They are getting expensive. If I were you I'd look for a few bits in places like Tesco, Asda, Matalan or Primark. If you go on cost per wear they shouldn't be too wasteful when you grow out of them!!!;)

That sounds like a nice day out Maddie. Take it easy so you recover properly.
