How brave if you, that sounds like torture!!
My plan is to keep going with the simple ones until I can get down low and get back up again!:rotfl:0 -
Well done on grasping the exercise nettle Maman. I know you are not the athletic type but I'm sure you will reap the rewards. Don't go at it bull at a gate - gently does it.
I haven't done any real exercise for a few weeks now but I shall definitely make a start. Pilates class starts up on 6th Sept. I've booked my place. Where I go for Physio is part of the David Lloyds complex and my Physio says that means I can use their facilities. They have a lovely heated indoor/outdoor pool. It won't cost me extra so I think I will start to take advantage.
I may think about what else I can do, as much for the social side of things too. I fancy dancing so I will see what's out there.
Everything's ready for the funeral. I've just been to Costco for the flowers and will set to de-thorning the roses ready for the morning.
48 is a lot of roses...:rotfl:
had a bad night so I also bought some herbal tablets so hopefully should sleep tonight. In the meantime the cat has just joined me on the sofa. Bless her.
The sun is out so fingers crossed it stays fine and dry for OH.s big day.
I'm a bit nervous, have got a few butterflies but I think the day should go well. Some of the guests will be staying at the hotel so I can always borrow their room for lie down if I need a break from it all.0 -

:rotfl:Oh you know me so well!!
I've tried the gym but found it boring and repetitive after a while and wasn't making the most of my subscription. I've been dancing since I was a child so that's kept me fairly agile and supple but I was conscious of weak thighs. When I see the elderly Asian ladies who can squat for cleaning (and other;)) purposes I'm ashamed that I can only get down on the floor by kneeling and then need to grab something to get back up.:o So I'm just doing squats and lunges a few times a day when I remember.
Just wanted to say that as a virtual friend I'll be with you tomorrow if not in reality. Hope it all goes as well as it can. Take care of yourself and your lovely boys. I'm sure DH is immensely proud of all three of you and he'll love his roses, all 48 of them!!!:A0 -
LL I will be thinking of you and your boys tomorrow, it sounds as if you are doing hubby proud.
Thank you all for the camping advice! I really love most aspects of it however being cold in bed was miserable.
Things here are not good at the moment and as you have gathered I am now running on empty and surviving on caffeine and sugar
However I made it to the shops today and have stocked up with tonnes of fruit and veg and I am going to get myself in hand.Logically I know healthy balanced diet will keep me going longer however in the thick of things biscuits seem like the best option
As for exercise well that has gone out the window and boy am I suffering for it. I went for a walk today with my boy and I felt it in my muscles so I am going to make time each day to get something done.
I did spend an hour in the garden with my gorgeous baby boy and it was so relaxing just lying on a blanket looking up at the sky through the trees. Nature has a wonderful way of grounding me and making me relax.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
More best wishes for tomorrow LL, I am sure that you and your boys will give your dear OH a marvellous send off.
Rummer, I hope that you manage to make a little time for yourself, it is so hard when all and sundry (not meant in a nasty way) are calling upon your help.
Maman, my PT gives me lots of squats with weights to do (part of his brief is to help me get stronger legs and arms), I always ache so much the next day:(
Alec eiffel, that sounds like a tough challenge, well done. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Thinking of you tomorrow LL.
Sorry for the lack of reading and posts. I will try and find time to read through all the posts and catch up tomorrow. My daughter has been very critically ill in hospital and is till there, its been the start of a new term for me (although this week I have been off so far due to my DD's illness) & my partner's brother has been in hospital with pneumonia. Everything has felt a bit like it is spiraling out of control just now. Thank you though to all of you as what I have learned from you over the summer has helped me to look after myself a little better in the midst of everything. I miss you all and promise not to abandon posting, it has just all been too frantic.0 -
Prudent I hope that your DD and partners brother are on the mend soon. Please take care of yourself and know that you are in my thoughts.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

More best wishes here for you LL I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.
Prudent I hope things settle down for you soon, well done on fabbing a little despite all you're coping with.
Rummer I hope you get a little break soon. I always feel better when I'm out (unless it's persisting down of course!) and a walk clears the head doesn't it. I have a naturally miserable face
but when I'm out in the fresh air I'm
I'm getting better at fabbing, it's becoming more habitual to use moisturiser and stand up straight and try to smile
My yoga classes start next week after a 3-week break, I really need them.
Take care all
