LL I agree a life should be celebrated in a way that the person and their loved ones would appreciate and it sounds as if you are going to do your husband proud.

:j to people doing well and hugs to those struggling.

Thank you to those that recommended Slimming World. I did go to meetings before however I found them less that inspiring and stopped after a few weeks. That was more to do with the leader than the plan so I may give it another look. There in however lies my issue that I can't stick to eating plans!

Slimming would be easier if my family didn't spend their lives trying to sabotage me! For example I was at a family members for coffee and turned down cake (continuously) only to get home and find they had put the box of cakes in my bag! However I appreciate the only person that can make the changes is me.

Brilliant LL! I've heard of some unusual music at funerals but 'tum- te -tum -te -tum- te -um' is awesome! I'm another fan.

I agree that the SW meetings can be 'less than inspiring'.;) I have a consultant who is 'nice but dim' and I hate the happy clappy element. Do you still have your old books? If not, I'd suggest you go to one meeting and get new books and the introductory chat (£10?) and then go it alone with the thread on here. It's hard when the family isn't supportive but you'll just have to feed the cakes to your OH.:)

I found some of the books but not the main one which is typical! I will keep hunting for it as now that I have given up meat it might be a good time to think about it again. The thread on here is very supportive and I am a lurker already :o I get the magazine as I like many of the recipes so I suppose that is a good start :D

My OH is slim and healthy and although he will eat cake and sweeties he isn't really bothered. I often give the treats we are given away or get OH to put them away in his man cave so I won't eat them :rotfl:

Not much fabbing going on here as I have been looking after poorly family members today, nothing serious just under the weather so I have slopped about in comfy clothes with my hair scraped back. Tomorrow though I will make more of an effort :D

Rummer I threw my books out just a few months ago, so will need to go back to a class. I have struggled to do much fabbing recently as both OH and myself have had sick family members plus we seem to have had a lot of visitors over the past few weeks.

My big challenge now will be getting some kind of routine as I return to work. Today I have done a pedicure (although I forgot to replace my wonderful Scholl exfoliator cream, so not such as good result). I have filed my nails and put on some clear nail polish. I did a mini facial, but have been so disciplined about using products up over the summer I found I was nearly out of things to use. I made rose water myself this summer from a scented rose bush in my garden and I am very pleased with the result.

Does anyone he have a weekly beauty/ pamper routine? I am wondering how to organise myself in term time?
• Just popping in to see how LL was doing.

LL what an inspirational lady you are.
The happiness you had with your OH just shines through your posts.
I agree you should get the killer outfit :j

I hope he has a great send off.
Do take care of yourself as you may feel rather drained after the funeral when it often suddenly hits home.

As for me..just plodding my way through school hols .......2 weeks till Noah starts secondary at the specialist autism unit I've fought so hard to get him in.
Costing me a fortune in school kit

Baby girl been poorly and I'm struggling through glandular fever after effects so am boosting up on co enzyme Q10 and ginkgo and ginseng.

I've had to buy a pair of size 14 jeans as this damned mini pill has put a bit of weight on me...sooner I get to the front of the coil waiting list the better!

Still doing my yoga but having to be gentle due to the glandular fever.
Did manicure and pedicure last night.

Weather seems to be turning so have been thinking about my autumn wardrobe .....don't seem to have worn much of my summer wardrobe yet!

Prudent - No routine here, all very hit and miss:(

I have a rubbish memory and the capacity to be distracted easily. I was thinking this morning that I need a prompt card, the sort of thing we used at work to ensure that no steps were omitted from a procedure, I know it sounds a bit OCD, but I have all the products and it would be good to get myself organised:) I do most of the basics, it is the leg shaving, face masks, hair treatments etc. that I miss out.

NPM - Boo to the glandular fever

Nails manicured and painted Leighton Denny Hello Dolly, nails so short I am only able to wear pale neutrals atm, cannot wrap the tips so chip easily.

I'm another in agreement that LL is truly inspirational!!:T I'm sure MrLL is going to have masses of his wife's virtual friends at his passing party.:)

I don't have a routine as such but there are certain things I do regularly that I never deviate from but there's always room for improvement so let's call me a 'work in progress' (and probably always will be!:rotfl:)
• healthy eating meal plan and shopping list every week to keep weight on target
• regular alcohol free days for same reason as above
• daily facial moisturiser and eye cream
• daily perfume and hand cream (more than daily)
• light make up daily (and more when occasion demands)
• try hard to have outfits suitable for all occasions (see below)
• all over 'slathering' with body lotion after every shower
• regular haircuts and highlights
• regular eyebrow waxing
• professional nail polish as needed
• regular manicure and pedicure
Things I know I need to work on:
• some exercise
• wardrobe sorting (I have too many clothes that I never wear) although I have been culling lately.
• house fabbing as lots of decorating needed
rummer, as you've given up meat the Green plan's going to be best for youif you decide to give SW a whirl.

I have found the books and think it would be worthwhile giving it another go and this time sticking with it for a few weeks at least. The thread on here is always busy and friendly so I will go and introduce myself (again :o) and try to get a meal plan sorted for the week.

Every month I get the magazine however many of the recipes are meat orientated so I will have a scout about online to see what veggie options I can find. I know quorn is an option so I will keep that in mind too.

Also need to work out how many syns I should have per day :D

That's great news rummer. It's easy to adapt 'normal' recipes to make them healthy and SW friendly.

Morning :hello:

LL Your plans sound wonderful, a real celebration of your husband's life

Pedicure for me today, I'm armed with a foot file and some foot cream (S&G Heel Genius). I'll do that later this afternoon because I have a lot to do today. I want to float about the house with pretty feet after it's done, not sit there wondering if my toenails are dry enough to put my old trainers on to go down the garden and get dirty :D

My exercises are working well, although some feel like they're not doing doing much at the time, I can definitely feel it when I get up off the floor and stand up :D Others hurt but I just keep aiming thoughts at my leg – 'you're not going to beat me, I WILL win' :D

I'm struggling with food a bit. I've tried meal planning before but never fancy what's on the list for that day. I never know what I want til I'm hungry, and although I end up reaching for healthy food (most of the time!) - noodles, fruit, granary bread stuffed with ham and loads of salad, etc – I feel like I should have more structure. I don't actually know why I feel like I should, I just do :undecided
