Betty Bravissimo is an amazing shop and was an essential part of my fabbing journey ;)

BITSY - Hope you have a lovely holibob. It will do you good to get away for a few days and have some fun family time together. redundancy is a very stressful time for you and your hubbie.

Don't feel embarrassed about not enjoying this heat. I live so far inland and the humidity can be unbearable at times. I would love to move nearer to the coast and catch a few sea breezes.

We had to rip out all of the old loft insulation and of course as we know insulation works both ways. The upstairs rooms are boiling. I did my usual trick of opening the loft hatch to allow the hot air to rise but the loft is so dusty and filthy it was making me cough so I had to close it again. Plus, my bedroom window will not open because the handle has sheared off.:rotfl:

The joiner is next on my hit list. There is a job sheet for him as long as my arm. More money!!!!

It's flowing out faster than it is coming in.

I also had a wee prang in my car. So there's another £75 insurance excess to find. Plus (oh dear hangs head in shame and embarrassment) I left my lovely new iPhone out in the heavy rain. :rotfl:

Needless to see it's now sulking. I've managed to dry it out and it works ok but it will not charge up so I need to get that sorted.

Plus ...... I've broken both pairs of glasses...

    Ouch, ouch, ouch.

I shall be on skid row at this rate.

Needless to say I'm now on a strict economy drive. No more casual spending on fripperies, I need to keep a really tight rein on my spending for the time being and I also need to see if I can generate a bit of extra cash to mitigate some of my losses.

So..... Whilst I'm decluttering I am setting aside some items to sell.
Got to make every penny count.

Never mind It will all come right in the end.

I'm settling in to my new home. There's a lot to do but no real rush. I now have water, a nice kitchen and a washing machine.....All is well.

Tonight we are having a party so I have my hair done, party dress on and full makeup! Oh and I got my wedding and engagement rings polished so they are sparkling and looking fabulous.

I may not be as bright and sparkly in the morning :rotfl:

Hope the party goes/went well :)

Well I'm feeling (aptly) like a sweaty mess in this weather. Apparently we're in for a few rain showers tomorrow which should improve things. But I'm not feeling very fab at all (probably also as I'm not sleeping well in this heat).

However, I've had another clothes sort out and shortlisted some of my warmer clothes for Project 333 October-December. My wardrobe is still so full that I needed to do something. So another pile to the charity shop and a few items to the "gym clothes" pile. I actually think my autumn/winter clothes are much nicer/co-ordinated that my summer ones, so I'm looking forward to wearing them!

Next stop is house decluttering - the back bedroom needs sorting before the plasterer comes to sort out the fireplace (hopefully soon) and I'm getting less tolerant of clutter. One day I will have a finished, tidy house:rotfl:

Hugs LZl that sounds like a stressful few days :( and expensive ones!! At least your lovely new home is starting to look good. Hope OH is doing ok in this heat.

Rummer hope you had a great time at your party:)

Bitsy.. This break is probably exactly what you need just now to help relax you a little after such a stressful and unexpected time.

I must be the only one that is hoping for hotter sunny days ... I'm off tomorrow for a day first time in about 4/5 weeks... Was off today too... I am almost forgetting what to do with time off.!!!

Flat has had no viewers yet which finding quite stressful to be honest... Wish it would just sell, but typically another 2 have went up for sale :(

Out today with oh and I seem to have a bit on colour on my arms. Factor 50 on face tho as it was so hot.

    Hope everyone is well :)

    Much cooler here.

OH not too good. Has a chest infection, his GP is concerned about his left lung. Just need to wait for the anti-bionics to kick in. He's comfortable but very tired, not eating much. Hopefully. The cooler weather will help.

    Hope the party went well......

Just going to pack myself a snack to take with me to visit OH. Don't feel like eating much but am managing to eat quite healthily at the moment.

My knee is finally settling down again.

Another couple of bags dropped off at the charity shop.:D

Not a great deal to report but I thought I'd call by and say hello. I have been keeping up with posts as best I can.

Sorry to hear some of you struggling but good spirit to keep going too!

Not a great deal of fabbing going on here although I have been quite smartly turned out during hot spell. I've been loving wearing two lovely skirts and loved them all the more as they were CS buys!

I've managed to maintain my holiday tan by using lots of body lotion laced with a little fake to enhance it.

Today I've been tackling a mountain of ironing. :( It's all very well being able to line dry everything quickly but.....

Hope the anti-biotics kick in quickly LL, fingers crossed.

Took a few things back is bought in sale last week that I've tried on today that aren't me. Reverse retail therapy is almost as much fun!

Had a Chinese for tea tonight. Not very healthy, but hey oh a treat! Fruit ready for lunch and snacks again tomorrow. Healthy eating begins again on the infamous Monday morning lol!!

Heady away for a long weekend on Thursday with OH so looking forward to that. Then will have 4 weeks till holiday again :)

    Hope everyone is well :)

I think that's one of the things about fabbing is that we're a lot more discerning about what we want to keep. And the bonus about healthy eating and weightloss is that it's not just about anything that fits!

Hope you have a lovely break when it comes. Where are you off to?
