OH roughly the same today. Alert but tired. He couldn't face a bath or shower so just had a bed wash. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter. As long as he is comfortable.

The cares are being incredibly kind and gentle with him. I think they are all very fond of him, several of them have had to fight back the tears when they talk to me about him.the matron reckons that most of them are going to need counselling.

Still no idea what will happen, whether or not this is indeed the big one. One day at a time.....

I'm keeping busy when I'm not at the nursing home. Im so glad to be living with DS2 - he is a great big softy and is such a comfort to me.

Even our new cat has taken to following me around. I cannot touch her but yesterday when I was resting on the sofa she lay across my feet. I swear animals know when their humans need comforting....

Thanks for all your kind thoughts and good wishes. You really are a fab caring lot.

How heart warming to know that he is being carefully looked after by people who genuinely care for him. I am glad that you are with family at the moment, it is always a comfort to have people you love just through the wall instead of a journey away.

As others have said we are here to support you in whatever way we can and you are all in our thoughts.

Today was a frantically busy day for me and over the last few days I have been eating oodles of rubbish :o Off to see a good friend tomorrow so I have decided to make Monday my fresh start.

As of Monday I will be back to healthy eating, exercising and all round effort making :D I am also becoming vegetarian which will be a worthwhile challenge!

Lots of healthy veg. Well done you!

I've been gradually working though my wardrobe having a sort out. Today I went through hats, gloves and scarves (mine and DH's) and gave them a wash ready for the winter while the weather's still good and did the same with a couple of jumpers/cardigans. Another few bits in the CS bag too.

My plan when all this is done is to have a go at 333 (or at least as pared down as I can bear;)).

One thing I know I need is a decent strapless bra. Any recommendations?

Talking about eating oodles of rubbish.

I had a nice healthy dinner and then spoilt it all later in the evening by eating half a bag of minstrels.

Sod it, tomorrow is another day..

Spent some of today re-organising the third bedroom. Eventually it will be a proper study but for now it is a sort of dressing room/storage facility and office combined. I now have a table as a temporary desk, my desk top computer and printer set up - so we are part way there.

DS2 has a single wardrobe in here and I have one of those hanging rails set up. Well i've always wanted a walk in wardrobe. :rotfl

    Monday was really funny.

DS2 had a call inviting him to attend an interview yesterday. Great stuff - except we couldn't find his suit trousers. We hunted high and low, checked DS1's house and DS2's girlfriends house. Nothing.

Eventually they came to light - stuffed at the back of his wardrobe which was rammed with both his and my clothes. I also had stuff hanging on the back of doors.

I decided enough was enough hence the massive 3rd bedroom sort out.

Its only a temporary solution until we can get proper wardrobes in our respective bedrooms sorted out but at least we can now find our stuff.

We've also lost a set of kitchen knives - hoping they will eventually turn up.

He should find out whether or not he has got the job on Friday, although he has some doubts. It would probably represent almost a 50% increase in salary but he's scared he might be bored because although its still in sales his role would be restricted to shop floor only whereas he currently does his own merchandising, stock control, sorting out the warehousing, customer service and even gets to do some deliveries.

If it weren't for the money I think he would prefer to remain where he is. Tough call. I think he loves the variety of his current job and the fact that in many ways its almost like being his own boss. He seems to practically run his own department these days and gets to make a lot of business decisions. Just a pity the money is so poor.

Maman - 1 have been making the best of the good drying weather, doing winter woolies, DS2's winter hats and scarves and gloves (he currently works outside a lot so has loads of them). Tomorrow its curtains and sofa throws.
