:T I am in awe at the fabbing achievements of the people on this thread :T

So many losing weight, getting fitter, updating and culling wardrobes, pampering themselves and taking steps each day to feel that little bit more fabulous!

Each and every person on this thread is an inspiration

    Rummer - you're pretty awesome youself:D

Re cracked heels - lots of specialist products available but good old Vaseline works a treat and is dirt cheap. Any old petroleum jelly will do the trick. You can rub into your nails too, however if they are splitting you might need something a bit more specialised. Look at the Sally Hanson products.

Are your vitamin levels ok. Sometimes weak nails can be a side effect of some prescription medications. Or could be overuse of harsh detergents or chemicals in cleaning products so don't forget the rubber gloves.

Forgot to say thanks for list of wheat free menu ideas. Must get back to cutting out wheat. I have relied on butties, cake, croissants etc for the past few weeks because I have been so busy. However I'm slowly getting more organised so no more excuses now.

Started unpacking and sorting out tonight. Didn't really want to but I do feel better for making the effort.

    G'night all. X

    Morning everyone.

Feeling much better today. We've been eating more healthily this week as DH is on the mend. I have a ton of fruit and salad to chop today as we went shopping last night. A new supermarket has opened in the next town up so we decided to have a look. I managed to get some shoes *yay*, they're work suitable which is what I'm after.

Speaking of which a job opportunity may be coming up, it's a bit of a big might at the minute though. If it does I think I'm going to apply for it. I haven't had a paid job for over 10 years but this is a job I've done before so who knows. This time last year I wouldn't have even thought about it so I must be improving!

    good morning all

Up with the larks this morning. Nice and cool so going to get stuck in with the unpacking and sorting before it gets really hot.

Have to stay in today waiting for the garage to pick up the car for some repairs so going to use my time productively.

Have already sorted out 3 bags of clothes and shoes for decluttering. Yesterday I took the big stuff to the charity shop - a couple of superfluous chairs, kitchen stuff etc

When it gets hot this afternoon I shall go through some paperwork,

We now have hot water :j:j and central heating - should the need arise:D however the less good news is looks like we shall need a new boiler before the winter. Ouch!!!

    Hello ladies

Hope you are all well and enjoying Fab Friday. I had a nice pampering session this morning and joy of joys a nice long soak in the bath.

Showers are ok but they are just not the same for easing aches and pains.

Gave Pilates a miss today. Still nursing my poorly knee although I feel it is improving at last.

Have been taking it fairly easy for the last couple of days, some unpacking and a bit of gentle decluttering.

OH still not too good, has developed a chest infection and his GP expressed concern about his left lung. He's still not eating much and is very tired, although he does seem to be turning night into day. He apparently watches tv late into the night and is consequently drowsy next day.

As long as he's happy I don't suppose it really matters at this stage.
I did manage to get him into the sunshine later in the afternoon when it cooled down a little.

time for dinner, a nice healthy Greek salad. Have managed to cut back on the wheat again so hopefully should feel a bit less lethargic in a day or so.

    Bye for now x

Pleased that you are feeling brighter LL, I agree there is nothing like a spell in a deep hot bath to ease the aches and pains. Speaking of which, I have been enjoying the hot weather, but as of yesterday and today the humidity has really got to my joints, they are all so hot and swollen:(

To add to my moans, my hayfever has been awful, swollen and sore eyes, dripping nose and where the salt from running eyes has touched skin it is red and ultra sore. Enough of my moans, a trip to see pharmacist saw me coming away £16 lighter, but armed with stronger anti-histamines, eye drops and nasal spray, it has all started to kick in now so feeling a bit better and should be able to switch from my dark glasses before dusk LOL I have spent two days hiding indoors, but it is too hot to garden anyway.

No make up on sore face, but "best" white skinnies and a pretty Wedgewood blue top and my dark aviators has meant that whilst not Fab, have at least been passable.

LL - I hope that your OH can fight off his chest infection, difficult times for you all. Best wishes from me and the furry one. x

    Evening all :)

Not much fabbing going on. At the risk of sounding a real whinge bag if am really fed up with this heat :o:o it's sapping my energy and just makes me feel like a mess as I find it too hot.
On the plus side we are going on our holiday tomorrow, nothing fancy (good job given H is unemployed) but sooooooo looking forward to spending a week down in Cornwall. Jellyfish permitting I shall be launching myself into the sea with gusto :j:D
Can't wait for some quality time with the family

Thanks for all the kind words about hubby and his job. In the words of Gloria Gaynor we "will survive" :)

Julie glad you've found us, welcome aboard xx

LL hope OH gets over his chest infection xx

Hugs and high fives all round xxx

    Hello all :-)
It's been a busy week with plenty of late nights so I'm hoping for an easy weekend. I popped into bravissimo today and had a bra fitting - I've been wearing the same ones since breast feeding 3 years ago - and have changed size. The assistant was great and I must have tried on 8 bras before I found one that was right - so I bought two in different colours :). And I do think I look much better for it. They also recycle old bras so I'm feeling very virtuous that my scabby old bra has gone to a better place.

    Morning everyone :)

Hope the weather cools down so that everyone can feel a wee bit better today. I forgot to take hay fever meds yesterday and went to a BBQ in the evening. Woke up at 4am sneezing and my eyes are streaming. Lovely to catch up with friends though. Yesterday was a lovely day all round. I managed a cycle ride at 6am while it was still cool. Then I dyed my hair and did my nails. Got a couple of hours of housework done and then made some lovely recipes from the Deliciously Ella website as I had a friend coming for lunch. She stayed for the afternoon and then I went to a BBQ.

I was due to go to an NT property with a friend today, but she has had to cancel, so it will give me time to catch up on some jobs and have another cycle ride. Could do with a face mask and need to make an appointment for a haircut.

    BB Enjoy your holiday :)

LL I hope your hubby is a wee bit better today. All that decluttering sound very therapeutic!
