And REALLY?? How is this even possible, one human being stopping another from obtaining adequate healthcare?
I am actually not in such a different position to op.
I am a woman, with a serious health condition and ATM very limited or no Independant means. my husband and I sometimes disagree about what I should do/which medical advice I should follow. Eg we did last year ( when I wanted a procedure I previously had not wanted ) and are not feeling the same after a visit to a consultant today.
If my husband tried to persuade me rather than be open with his feelings there is no question I would seek independent means through benefits if necessary. My body is my body, decisions are mine, responsibility is mine. DH is the co pilot, sure, and I trust him to decide AS I WOULD in the case of my inability to. Failure to take responsibility for my health is, when it happens, and I admit it has when I have declined treatment or not saught advise soonest, is MY responsibility, no one else's.
If oP feels the victim of domestic abuse which removes his ability to do that in no way would marriage be advisable IMO, nor continuing the relationship.
Communication seems adrift in this relationship in every post op makes, and I wish him well, but he has to take responsibility to seek help if he needs help escaping the relationship or to communicate within it healthily if he doesn't. When comment has been made he becomes defensive and I find his posts vacillate on stance so however much people may want to help its hard to.
However, op, I wish you luck. I hope you heal quickly. Do you have schedule for your further treatment and advice as to what recovery time is possible to expect? This might colour your decision making process.0
