Get lost debt

Hurray to insomnia (sarcasm). I have been awake since 1.30 and just can't get back to sleep. Plus my mind is absolutely racing. Perhaps a hot chocolate and writing something down may help.

I had my in house interview at work on Monday, what a disaster. Perhaps it's because I don't really want to stay there? I don't know. I'm feeling sad seeing so many good and interesting people leave at one time.

I've also become obsessed with money and health. I'm spending far too much time on Dave Ramsey and my fitness pal. It's helping the weight go though. Perhaps only a pound or so a week but it's going.

It's raining again outside and so quiet down here on my own. I must get back to bed and try to sleep before the alarm goes off at 5am.

I've as a horrible weekend feeling very stressed about what's going on at work and other things so I have decided today they I'm going to spend the day on myself. I never do this so it will be a nice change. A day of garden pottering and sewing will fit the bill totally.

Oh and a bit of Dave Ramsey too later.

Well it's been three weeks and three days since my interview for the alternative position at work and still they keep us hanging on. I'm really p%&&3d off as some folks found out last Tuesday. The rest of us are having our Easter break ruined by their utter incompetence. Sorry, needed to rant a bit. If I don't get a letter tomorrow I'm going to put in a complaint. I'm not one of the world's complainers but this it ridiculous.

I have done a lot of mooning around in the past few days, thinking how the years of debt have changed me. I can barely recognise the person I have become. I used to be and at heart still am, a tree hugger ( or squirrel tickler) as my DH calls it. Unfortunately that part of my life seems to have disappeared. I guess best paralysed me with fear and I have spent nearly 10 years just existing.

I want to find me again so I have started to do again what I did before and some......

I have wanted chickens forever, so I'm getting some. I have a shed I can use with a bit of diy and an old shed which can be used for timber which I need.

I have also started to study permaculture. I love my gardening so this leads on from there. Plus it should help with the veggie growing.

Also the first Dave Ramsey baby step is going OK. I have £309 of my £1000, and within the first month. I'm feeling in control for once.

No more waiting around for me, waiting for permission. A new, and quite frankly stroppy woman has emerged. Have a good night all.

That sounds great parsniphead. I can empathise with what you're saying about just existing, I felt like that for a while and decided I needed to take up a hobby/fulfil a passion, even though it costs money! Sometimes we need to take care of ourselves. Hope you hear about the job soon.

I am glad to hear you are doing some things for yourself. It is hard when you are tackling debt to remember you need to have things for yourself too.

I thinks it's a sad part of debt is loosing parts of yourself. It happens so often, and I think it's a minor part of loading confidence. It's the little things which make us who we are.

It's time to start living again.

It will be four weeks on Monday and still no word from my employers. I'm more than livid. All take and no give.

Five weeks today since the job interview........still nothing. My patience is wearing extremely thin. I spoke to them today and they said everyone should know this week. They said that three weeks ago.

My business push has stalled recently and this is not good enough. I need to keep on top of things if I want to achieve my goals.

Money's stressful too. I spent a little more than planned over half term so need to reign it back in now. I have a few pounds in my purse which I want to make last for the next seven days. The food shopping is done so hopefully I can do it. Just a little creativity in certain areas.

I have also set myself a challenge. Well two actually, one being jobs which can be done on the house for £0 and jobs which can be done on the house for less than £100. The second one only when I have saved the £100. I have a few bits like mending the guttering which are important and a few more less important ones. I enjoy DIY and feel frustrated at the state of the house at the moment. I will come back with lists later.

Weight.......no comment. Fitness........ Even less so.:o

Now some lunch then collect DS from school.

Again it's been a couple of weeks since posting. Last Tuesday I was told that I had no job and was going to have to go through the redundancy process. I knew I would happen so wasn't surprised. I was irritated though as staff with no teaching experience were given a teaching role but no point in dwelling on it really. Oh and one evening of panic and unpleasantness with DH but that has passed now too. I will miss many of my colleagues but many of them will be gone soon too. Another part of life closes but a different one will open.

Im going to be job hunting but also trying to get my little business up and running full time. I will hopefully be kept on until the end of the academic year bringing in a little more money and top it up with my income.

Strangely, I feel like I'm being given a last chance to do what I want to in life and would be daft not to take it. Apart from being a bit nervous I feel so positive and sun shiny.

I have some debt left which needs to be paid off by the end of august ideally so have challenged myself to make £5000 by then. :j :eek::D

I will post daily to keep myself on course and in check.

Onwards and upwards.

I have spent the day looking at my website, etc. I'm not good at this technology stuff but have persevered and have made some progress. I would much rather be making stuff but this stuff is important too.

I have also made dinner for the next two days from cupboard stock so I haven't spent any extra. I'm really focussing on not spending anything I don't need too.

Right back to it. I have to make this work.:)
