  • Ever since I told the big boss back in June that I didn't want to be sitting at the top table anymore I had a nagging (by nagging I mean gnawing, all-encompassing, devouring) doubt about how we would cope with the drop in my salary - but I kept my head in the sand (as there was nowhere else to put it at the time) and feared the worst - thinking a £500pcm drop was going to be pretty hard to swallow. Finally went through my paperwork and doing some calculations on my epic all-compassing spreadsheet it looks more like around £200 I'm going to have to get the begging bowl out for. Not perfect but a helluva lot less damaging than I've been bracing myself (by bracing myself I mean beating myself up) for. In other positive news my knees have been pretty damn cool this weekend and we have collected considerably more ebayable material which I will have to start photographing next weekend. It's going to be a good week methinks.

Am finding it difficult to keep this diary up - not cos I've veered offcourse. In fact because of the complete opposite. Weight loss is still ongoing, I'm now fitting into things I have not been able to wear for over 5 years and my weight has also returned to its 2008 level. It's all very MSE as it means I have a completely 'new' work wardrobe without spending a dime. And the budgeting is going OK too, plus the weekend after next is time to get listing.

World of Bloater has become a very sedate place. And I hope I don't regret writing that.

Amen to the unrest in ebay land. May be thats why ebay are concentrating on advertising their Gumtree arm on TV.

Good to hear the wieght is coming down mrb.

All sounding good...............what has changed in Mr B land re weight and budgeting? Sometimes its good to document the what sounds ordinary and mundane as that can be the key and people who read these diaries are often just looking for that tiny key to get them started..............its not always extreme yoghurt knitting that will get the results:)
