Just checkin in mr b. I loved your last thread and toying with a time to stop losing £ and gaining lbs diary to motivate me to gain £ and lose lbs.
All the best with this one, I'll be following you looking for inspiration - I'm still in the pre contemplative state...If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
Sorry to hear that things have been so rough for you lately. Hope your new focus lasts.

Hi Mr B. I guess you have declined the invitation to their party and they are a little confused. Similar situation here as I have been offered better work elsewhere and current work have had the wind taken out of their sails as they were just in the middle of telling me how crap I was. Obviously I'm not crap and they are confused and having to rapidly reform and revise their opinions. Hanker down and ride out the storm - although it's easier for me as I am disappearing into the sunset - things should settle again one way or the other.
Have subscribed so hope to hear you have been able to centre yourself and carry on regardless.
Sending supportful wishes.Su-S.

Not surprised you're hearing voices if you're working 21 hours a day. They're probably real voices from real people, you're just too spaced to realise. Get some sleep, and stick two fingers up to the !!!!!!s.0

You can run................er well maybe not with the knee situation.....but you cant hide Mr B.
Hmmmmm 21 hour days not good especially as I suspect you are marking exam papers! I would like to think the examiner marking my DD2 GCSE's is at least awake and preferably not slipping into a psychotic episode:eek:
Hope this phase will begin to feel a little bit more positive soon.

Right, things are getting back on track. Job 2a is finished and the voices never returned. Job 1 seems to be pulling itself out of the mire - been given an acceptable deal for September that will keep me going for the meantime without having to worry all summer.

Two weeks hiatus from the world of MSE. Well, not strictly true as I have been peering in from time to time but it's time to report back to earth. Planet Bloater has been as mental as every June is - whatever hell is thrown by Job 1 at this point of the year is beautifully augmented by Job 2a and Job 2b. 2a didn't go so well this year and will be bringing in less money than thought but 2b has proved a sturdy friend once again - with the initial meeting a few miles from some of our best mates oop north we were able to kill multiple birds with one smooth pebble and had a fantastic weekend away. And also hit upon a radical way of saving money: getting a new car. Now before the yoghurt-knitters (if any of them are left, I think they might not have realised I started a new diary - hopefully this won't get included in their text-only download digest) start, er, knitting yoghurt - I should add that the figures do stack up. My car needed a service this month and that would set me back about 450quid. I do not have that sort of money spare. But out of the blue the dealership rang up and asked if I would be interested in chopping in my former car and getting a shiny new one (with a 3 year servicing plan included). After some negoitation we got the monthly price down to a princely 12quid more than I am currently paying for a brand new lovely motor and no worries about servicing for three years, and with the bonus that the 6 month car tax I got last month has now gone back to DVLA so I can get a 5 month refund as the new one came with 12months tax courtesy of the dealership.
So onto the less merry stuff: the arthritus is, I fear, a permanent guest. It has galvanised my desire to lose weight but I sadly (and I do mean this despite my love/hate relationship with it) think it is the end of my running - where that be on the mean streets of my manor or the naff lacquered laminate of my back room with Wii Fit (my Wii is also knackered - can't get the discs into it anymore cos the cogs are broken). More later, Mrs B is getting the slush out.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)
