Why make a drama out of things?

All that needs to happen now, us that a condom is used in future (I don't think men worry, after a sex session, what they are splashing about where!).

Or, perhaps being a 'youth of the 60's' , I just take a more laid back view of 'casual sex'!

Lin :)

I really hope that my sons will when they grow up.
Grateful to finally be debt free!
• Of course you should raise it with him - it's his sperm! He can't just go splashing it around and not expect at least a conversation.

You don't have to go in saying 'woah, I thought I was pregnant' (because you won't have been) but actually he's had a pretty lucky escape with that given that he didn't actually know if you were on the pill.

You should at least raise it in relation to STIs, though.

Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant I was coming round to the idea of not mentioning getting the MAP/pregnancy fear (and to address a previous comment on
the thread the pharmacist recommended it on the basis the pill isnt 100% and probably half to make me feel a bit more in control.)

Definitely having the contraceptio/std talk though.
;discussion/4991598]Nevertheless I got myself in a right state Monday morning after I got on the train and ended up in tears in the pharmacist's office at lunchtime.

I'm terrified that he's going to think I'm a drama queen.
Well OP, with respect, so far that's the impression you're giving.

Look, the 2 of you got carried away in the moment, it happened, you just need to have a chat to make sure it doesn't happen without protection again. That's it.

• Thank you for the last few comments being blunt.

I think thats what I needed from someone, I know I've blown things out of proportion on my head and tying myself up in knots over it.

I feel incredibly stupid and a hard lesson learned.

I wouldn't bank on it - male hormones are funny old things, especially for younger men!:

Lin ;)
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

I wasn't trying to be harsh (really!), it's just after two husbands, 3 sons/stepsons, and 4 teenage male grandsons, I just sort of see how the male brain works!

Men take 'casual' sex much less seriously than women, and if you want your relationship to continue, probably best to just learn from it.

• Sorey I wasn't implying you were being harsh and I appreciate you being forthright.

But they didn't really did they - they went to bed after brushing their teeth and getting in to pj's - there was no wild passion for sometime after they had made the decision to physically go to bed together.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Oh, well, gawd, we all act hastily in the heat of the sexual moment - just make sure, in future, that you use a condom.
