If you're on contributions based ESA, I do believe that things like are disregarded.

Yes, I was on contribution based ESA - I argued that maybe someone had made a mistake but no - the money was forced on to me !!
At the time - I was being paid about £32k pa and with the extra approx £100 per week - I was rolling in it for a while !!

No-one gets forced onto ESA - you must have claimed it.

Yes I signed the form - but was surprised to receive a penny
This is just typical of the claims system..
Someone who didn't need the money - receives it
But someone who needs it - doesn't
It DOES need a major overhaul - but by DWP NOT Atos or any other private company.

My uncle has received notification today that his payment for ESA contribution based will stop in August as he failed the assessment and scored 0 points, he will have been paid this for a total of 365 days, he did send an appeal in over 9 months ago and still has no date for the tribunal hearing. Should he ring DWP as to why no hearing date and how long it may be before his payments resume with/without a hearing.
    Thanks for any replies.

    Can anyone answer my question.

I thought this person was a troll from her very first post. A WUM.

You were right, a WUM who thankfully, now seems to have vanished :D

I can't see the Government getting rid of PIP after a year, having spent a couple of billion setting it up. As much as I would like to see DLA return, it won't happen. PIP is here to stay, Unfortunetly. They may well change thd name, but the essence of PIP will remain. I can see them extending the deadline for reassessing people who are on indefinate awards.

Can I comment Celt? If that happens and they move the date backwards, how are they going to assess those that became 65 in say June 2013? Moving it back to say 2018 - 2019, many are going to be 70+ before they are allowed to claim PIP.
