ESA, DLA and PIP chaos - DWP overturning more than half of it's own decisions on MR..

...my current award ends in July. i thought i better phoneas i havent received an ESA50 yet, only to be told that theyve assessed me without one and my current award will run until July 2016.
but they obviously didnt feel the need to let me know...
Maybe a letter went astray. Perhaps, since it's not yet whatever the July date was, they've simply not issued it yet.0 -
Whenever they start transferring us to PIP, I think the whole system will just go into meltdown and will be worse than it is now.
The millions they have wasted on IT etc is money they have stolen from the sick and disabled, PIP will never be fit for purpose and i would not be surprised if they quietly revert back to DLA obviously cleverly under the guise of 'tweaking' PIP.0 -

yet when i phoned and asked for a statement of entitlement for the sentist .... it arrived 3 days later.
its odd that i get all my other mail with no issues ... just the DWP letters......

you're not referring to the initial assessment are you?
I haven't seen it reported elsewhere. As far as I know all reassements are on hold.0 -
I can't see the Government getting rid of PIP after a year, having spent a couple of billion setting it up. As much as I would like to see DLA return, it won't happen. PIP is here to stay, Unfortunetly. They may well change thd name, but the essence of PIP will remain. I can see them extending the deadline for reassessing people who are on indefinate awards.0

My uncle has received notification today that his payment for ESA contribution based will stop in August as he will have been paid this for a total of 365 days, he did appeal the decision over 9 months ago and still has no date for the tribunal hearing. Should he ring DWP as to why no hearing date and how long it may be before his payments resume.
Thanks for any replies.

On a similar vein - I was made redundant 5 years ago and received FULL pay (pilon) for 6 months and was also entitled to claim ESA for the same period - can anyone explain that anomaly ?0
