If I ask for a DLA reassessment - will it be dealt with as DLA or PIP ?
Bear in mind that I live in an area of the country, previously untouched by (new claim) PIP ..0 -
Benefits and work is much saner than this particular board and does great work. Here's to another 20 years of your contribution to that
I don't think that will be possible, I'm 73 years of age now and in chronic health, so be lucky to see 75 let alone 93 :eek:0 -

If you were aged 16-64 when PIP became law on 8 April 2013, then making a new claim for DLA would have been treated as a PIP.
Current DLA claimants will not be reassessed for PIP until starting around October 2015, unless they report a change in circumstances.

the DWP get stranger and stranger!
in january, they moved me to the support group without being asked to. i had presumed it was because of a change in my DLA award.
my current award ends in July. i thought i better phoneas i havent received an ESA50 yet, only to be told that theyve assessed me without one and my current award will run until July 2016.
but they obviously didnt feel the need to let me know...

I don't normally get things like that happen. If I lose DLA or I only get mobility under PIP then we might become homeless as we will not be able to pay the mortgage. I did this large to help you a bit.
I'd try not to worry too much, with the way things are going although existing DLA claimants should start migrating to PIP by October 2015, it could take to 2017, 2018 or maybe longer because the system is in such a mess. Delayed medicals, overworked and poorly trained DWP staff.
Not their fault of course, it's thanks to IDS our wonderful Sec of State for Work & Pensions0 -
Whenever they start transferring us to PIP, I think the whole system will just go into meltdown and will be worse than it is now.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

i really dont understand how many people get away with dla or pip fraud for so long. when i applied i had to put detailed health professional information down. i would have thought it would be the same for these people. i was told i needed some help but not enough. surely if i needed help i would be entitled to some money for equipment.Mortgage free wannabe
