I'll have a look in Sports Direct or Matalan
Last I knew there were 3, someone elses suggestions brings that to 4!
Meadowbank/Craigleith/Straiton are the ones I know of. Pot luck what you find in there though.0 -

The website Store Locator is useless then :rotfl:0 -
I'm quite excited! I managed to apply for and be approved for a cashback credit card. That would never have happened this time last year as OH wasn't working. So hopefully in a year I should have a tidy sum waiting for me.
Having been in debt twice I am really aware of putting something on a credit card and having no plans to pay it off. So it will be buying things I need or would normally spend on.0 -
Hi everyone
This week so far has been a low spend week for me. Apart from yesterday! I hurt my foot whilst in London and three weeks later it still hasn't healed so I went to Dr's yesterday and he thought it was fractured, I got it Xrayed this morning and nothings broken or fractured. I ended up buying shoes that are a size bigger as my foot is so swollen
We also got our moving date on Monday. We move 8th Sept so we are shopping around for TV etc. Boxes are slowly but surely getting packed. Next week I have a visitor, my Dad is coming to stay so I can only pack a minimum amount of boxes so he has somewhere to sleep :rotfl:
So the great declutter and packing episode will have to wait. I hope everyone is well and are doing geat in their challenges!0 -
Have you read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill? It's an old book but very inspiring. I was able to buy reproduced ones a few years ago from ASDA, you can also borrow them online from Libraries. Hope this helps you.
Duncan Bannatyne from Dragons Den has wrote a book showing how he made money (bought an ice cream van for a few hundred and went on to buy a fleet of vans). He later build Care Homes and Hotels/Gyms.

Interesting to read your recommendation of Napoleon Hill's book, Dreams777. I keep seeing it recommended by people on various threads on here and it was on my list of books to try to get hold of.
I was listing a lot of second-hand books on Amazon at the weekend and whilst going through a boxful I picked up for £1 at the end of a car boot sale when the stallholder was packing up I was amazed to find a copy of Napoleon Hill's book:j:j:j. It is the original, in decent condition but the DJ is pretty tatty, although that doesn't bother me. So that's one I definitely won't be selling.
Now to find the time to actually read it......0 -
I to recommend Duncan's book Anyone can do it....I loved it and read it twice. It's amazing hearing his story and experience ~ I then went onto buy his other book think like a tycoon? or think and grow rich? ...something like that anyway it was pure RUBBISH....People don't know what they want until you show them.0

Hi everyone, thanks for the recommendation of the books. I will check them out. Not a lot is happening. Dad went home yesterday so trying to get the flat back to normal.
We move next month :j I can't wait. Let the packing commence!0 -
Thanks for all who recommended Duncan Bannatyne's book, I'll keep a look out for that one. He's not someone whose personality I can warm to (he's always been my least-favourite Dragon!). The advice of anyone who can start with virtually nothing and become a multi-millionaire is worth taking, though.0
