This will probably not be a popular post, but here is my POV.

Realistically, as carbootcrazy has already suggested- you need to focus on getting your main income stream sorted. Until you do that, everything else has stalled IMHO. There is only 1 of you and I don't think most people have several income streams, at least not until they have enough money to invest. Let's face it, you can stick your fingers in lots of pies- but earning online is generally peanuts and it is very hard to make a decent sum from eBay or similar selling sites.

Personally, I don't think that your decision to leave your only source of income was a good one. We can be very good at talking ourselves into the things that we want- only a few months ago, you were justifying why you needed a bigger flat- despite the fact that this will make it harder to save for your end goal. I've never had a problem getting time off from a job to go to an interview, or fitting in applications around current work.

I don't think your lack of motivation has anything to do with what else is going on in your life. It takes a kind of single-minded determination to reach your goals. You also need to be intrinsically motivated- not motivated by spending rewards, for example, which are something you previously mentioned. You need to start getting motivated by your bank account balance going up- keep your main end goal in-sight- becoming a millionaire. You also need to stop getting side tracked by bigger flats, designer handbags, dream weddings, holidays, new jobs etc etc. Unless you want to change your goal to be one of those things.

I'm aware that I probably sound like a parent here, but I'm offering a different perspective on all this. When you can afford to live the lifestyle you want to, is when you have reached your goal.

I agree with Wizzbang on getting a main income stream in, and then working on the side goals. I was fortunate enough to run my 'side business' when I was on mat leave, but I would never of been able to do it if I hadn't got a pay check coming from another source.

If you have a good idea that you think you can pull a main income source from in a short amount of time then go for it - but most likey you won't (not saying that to be harsh but who does haha ! wish I did) the best thing you can do is get yourself a main job and then work towards the side incomes, I also think this will hinder your job hunting as if you spend all your time focused on the side income you will neglect the first one..although nothing to stop you doing both but perhaps bear it in mind?

I don't think it's the worse thing putting your notice in, I do agree if you weren't happy and it will push you into finding a new job hopefully better..although also worth a thought once you find a job it will most likey be a month before your first pay check...so I hope you can cover everything :-)

Congras on the engagement, he's also right it will detour you away from your millionaire goals, but end day we need to have a bit of fun in life so go with what you want to do. :-)
