Hi everyone!
2015 has started off really well. OH won a weekend in Paris at his work. They have a daily raffle over the festive period and he won the main prize :j. That's our holiday sorted, we need to find out when we can take it, whether it includes spending money etc. So we're going to Paris baby! :rotfl:
I am trying today (and failing) to list books on Amazon trade in. Grrr some ISBN numbers don't match......The extra Amazon vouchers will come in handy as I need to restore my old laptop, in replacing the battery and charger. I was hoping on doing that for free! It means I can sell it on, that's another taking up space.
I made the mistake of going into town today, I had to fight the urge to spend, there's so many things that I want. I just got the basics I needed today, I go back to work tomorrow. At least I won't be spending!0 -

Hi everyone, well my Mentor has given me a lot of food for thought and it looks like I have a lot of work to do. I am relishing the challenge :j
I have also been offered a second Mentorship from someone who is quite high up as well. I may not be allowed two mind you0 -
Good Morning all
The credit cards have been paid off and I have £80 left in my current account to last me 18 days.
This is quite an improvement on last January I remember having £30 left. It's good to see progress month on month.
I transfered money into my new savings account earning me 4.8% :j from my ISA. I am tempted to transfer more but I will make a decision.
I now also have two mentors :rotfl:both know about each other and are both happy to mentor me in HR. I meet up with them both next week.0 -
It's easy to think about the short-term gains of taking money out of ISAs and putting them into these high interest current accounts. But don't forget that you are building up a large tax-free sum for the future which will always be tax-free. In addition, don't forget compound interest
Congrats on coming so farMinimalist

Hi all.
Just a quick update as it's so late. I have started on the boxes in the spare bedroom. One box down 15 more to go . I'll be starting on the clothes next.
I am meeting with my first mentor tomorrow, nervous and excited.0 -
Hope it goes well for you :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
