The bad stuff in cat poo isn't like the bad stuff in dog poo. Toxoplasmosis I'm pretty sure causes flu like symptoms but can cause problems for the foetus of pregnant women.

It's dog poo that can make you go blind.

I could be wrong, but when you're preggo they always say about cat litter but never mention about dog poo :)

Are you sure its cats? I've seen cats choose some odd places to do but i've never seen them dig up grass to make space. Plus it smelling bad, also suggests that its more likely fox or something else.

If this one spot is the favorite then get some sticks with thrones on and put them in the ground till the grass has had a chance to recover.

As for deterrents those ultra sonic things don't work with all cats there not daft and soon get used to odd smells and sounds just like the rest of us.

Have you got a outside tap?

will put off the most determined of cat/foxes/dog ect and is complete;y humane and wont get washed away.

the main risk with toxoplasmosis is when an expecting mum is infected and its passed onto here unborn child and can cause serve cogitation defects.

I know dog poo is equal as dangerous but dog dont tend to carry toxoplasmosis.

Area cleaned up and sprinkled with lemon and orange extracts, cayenne pepper and some toothpicks for luck. DH has set his camera up in the window, so I guess we kjust wait and see now.

You can also train cats to use the toilet indoors :D

Seriously, if you do find out which cat is doing it, do you really think you can march round the owner and tell them to have a quiet word with their cat?!

Both my two cats now go outside, although one will prefer to use the litter tray if it's down. Fortunately for my neighbours, they choose to 'toilet' in their own garden!

Both of ours go in our own garden, although one will actually come inside to use the tray if it's too wet outside, can't be getting a soggy bum!

If we can identify the perpetrators I'll be asking the owners to come and clean up after them.
