Why have a pet that isn't with you?Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Probably not one for your lawn but for those plagued with veg bed pests, I did see a suggestion elsewhere of burying inflated small balloons just under the surface so that when the cat scratches a hole to "go" in, it pops the balloon and gets scared off. Not sure how effective or practical this would be but the mental image of a cat jumping 6 feet straight up and legging it has some appeal.Adventure before Dementia!0

If garlic poisons cats I don't understand why there are garlic repellers on sale?
We've used the garlic one in our front garden. It didn't work. We put chicken wire down on the vegetable patch, and that works because things like strawberries just grow through it. You wouldn't be able to use it if growing carrots, beetroot etc. though I suppose.
The cat has stopped messing in our front garden but is still using our back garden. I noticed loads more than usual when gardening at the weekend, especially around our picnic area

I think your local cats must be reading MSE, and delighting in winding you up.0

I suspect I'll be delighting in a super soaker before the week is out.

Humans cannot train cats.
However cats can - and usually do - train their humans. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
