Well done tractor! We feel your pain ;)

Wow mrs m-p what a night - glad it turned out ok but it could have gone horribly wrong :(

Errands run and shopping done and unpacked. Just having a cuppa as feeling a bit "heady". DD has installed herself on the sofa and looking very sleepy. It's just as well she can't start school this time, I don't think she would last 5 days...

Have bought a joint of pork for an attempt at slow cooker pulled pork. So will browse for a recipe. Then DD wants some lunch and then I'm going to strip all our beds.

O..M..G.. SOOOOOo rude!! I just spoke to the pub we 'WERE!!' going to use for the baptism bash.. and the woman was so rude and her tone of voice! honestly, I could barely understand a word she was saying, she sounded like she had a sock in her mouth and I speak perfectly clearly and audibly, my mother is a bit deaf so speech had to be clear so she knew what we were saying.. yet had to repeat myself 4 or 5 times.. Jeez, I know they are foreign over there in Manchester but really!!!

I don't want to go there now.. horrid woman!!

hopwe you can find another venue pigpen.

thanks bossy, i know i had my heart in my mouth when the phone rang and she said 'incident' at least everyone got home safe and scum got caught. sad that things like that happen. DD said everyone apart from 1 person got reunited with their phones so good result for the police they just all felt really sorry for that guy. find it heartening that they all worked together and got a good result with no harm coming to anyone.

ive done myself a paper list to work from as ive got work soon then stuff this afty, just nipped round mils im - on nightie shopping duty to save dragging her into town, hoping primark or maltlan have nice older ladies loose poly cotton ones. Glad that the thought of needing new nighties has cheered her up somewhat.

have a good afternoon/weekend all depending on when i get back in

    Afternoon all

Mrs MP - what a night - I might get that ap.

Paid stuff done. DS3's school phoned to say he has been in trouble for jokingly being rude to a teacher, he is mortified and has cried all of break and they could not send him to his next lesson he was in such a state - early night, he'll be drained.

I have so much to do and don't fancy any of it. I'll strip a bed or two and put a wash on, empty the DW and see if that surs me on.

    Is your sun-lounger called, Dusty?

More loads shoved in the WM, and pegged out. Next week's guests phoned and they're arriving on Monday/Tuesday, so that gives me an extra 24 hours to finish both rooms, which means more carpet washing - a good thing. I'm going to finish the shower room today and take the double duvet to the laundrette which can wash while I nip to the pet supply place to pick up the dog food.

I've also got another dog travel bag to finish for a birthday present tomorrow at the first world cup party.
    Better is good enough.

HB I've pottered about watering the plants - using the can to scoo from the waterbut as I am counting this as weight bearing exercise ;)

Wm on DW emptied, DS2 has left his desk to go to school for an hour or two, hopefully he'll be there for hometime with DS3. I am therefore going to dust his room and strip his bed whilst he is out before he gets back for more revision.

DD is snoring on the sofa, she has been feeling sorry for herself and cried when I said I was stripping the beds, then told me off "you didn't come and you take far long doing jobs" lol she speaks English as a foreign language when she's tired haha. So I stopped and held her and now she is asleep. She felt quite hot, but it's probably just tiredness.

She didn't even eat the steak I made for lunch  and she is a confirmed carnivore! Well, I have saved it for her tea, so she will be happy later.

Meantime I've stripped mine and her beds, and I will do DS bed later.

School have asked if I can fit in an hour or two reading time for them from next September. They used flattery "since DS has been impressing us with his progress... We wondered if you might be able to spare some time to listen to some other children?" Lol. I've said I will look at my works diary and see if I can fit time in. I'd happily do on my days off, but I have DD to consider - I don't think they would want her there...

Anyway I'm now painting..... My toenails :p

The window is so very nearly done, just waiting on all the different colours to dry before I put the white on ;) In addition to that I've cleaned most of the bathroom, just the floor to go & clean towels to put in :) Other than that nothing has been done :rotfl: DD is going to hate me when I get her doing chores tonight, but she can do upstairs while I do downstairs. ;)

I best go stick the towels in the TD to finish them off as they've been on the maidens all day and I have a load of washing to do once DD is changed out of her uniform.
