Hey - I remember doing this when my sprogs were in primary and it was great ! Got really involved with them and thoroughly enjoyed it :) Only problem was the ones who obviously weren't get any support at home and came back the next week without anybody at home giving them the time :( Then I thought that maybe their family had problems with literacy - we don't all have the same opportunities in life eh.

I have thought about it a lot and can't see how I'll fit it in, tbh :( I would really like to help but I work full days M-W and can't even collect my own kids on those days as I'm not out of work on time. On T-F I have DD as she's not old enough for full time. So unless I can take her with me (not sure the nursery would have her for an hour ratios etc).

It's raining here but I have the WM on in hope! Kids are having a picnic brekki. They were both late to bed last night so expecting a few grizzlies today.

Other than that, I'm just playing catchup and well just playing :p

A bit of a sad few days here. We've been back and forth to the vets with DD1's boyfriend's chameleon and yesterday it was decided to put her to sleep :( The boyfriend is devastated and DD1 was crying when I had to tell her yesterday :( I know some people including my mother! think it's silly etc but to us it's not.
I was feeling quite strong yesterday until I had to phone and confirm it (she was registered in my name cos I didn't know all the boyfriends details) now I feel terrible and my depression has kicked in :(
I have to travel back this morning to pay the bill and collect her as boyfriend doesn't think he can do it. She's being buried in our garden, next to the cat as the boyfriend lives in a flat.
Working on the lists will carry on this afternoon.

Sorry to hear about the chameleon WendyWitch.
    Lovely blanket Piggers.
Sports day - I was the parent who rushed in from the paid stuff only to see DD running in her summer dress because I'd forgotten to pack her shorts & T - I was/am a bad mother!

Today apart from usual dailies the only thing on my list is weeding and there are lots of weeds. If you don't hear from me later I am lost in the jungle.

    Have a great day everyone.

WW.. at least you gave Lizzy the chance, you tried to get her well even though she was a mere reptile.. allowing her to suffer would have been wrong, it was the right decision. (((hugs))) for you and DD and bf..

Washing out on the line... apparently in the rain... Oh well ...

Babies dressed and fed and watered.

I want to get at least half of the blanket border done today.. it is a 10 row pattern and I can do the 10 rows in 3 minutes..

Cuppa and then getting Henry out to come clear these grotty carpets.. Dot mushed crisps on the landing!!

DD3 has her pit to clean, it is disgusting in there.

As much as I love slobbing in my pjs I have discovered it does not help my desire to clean and fling. I am wearing slobby clothes instead.. still comfy thankfully!

I may try to clear the worktop of doom once I have reattached the cupboard door for the bedside unit..

Off to page 1 to check out my list!

Beautiful blanket, Pigpen. Moomin's teacher (from what you said about the care given to her work) sounds like the sort of person who would genuinely appreciate the blanket. I think it's lovely. Wendy, I'm sorry about the loss of your DD's boyfriend's chameleon. They may be animals and not people, but they are very much loved members of our families and it would be a sad family that didn't feel their loss. Big, big hugs for you all.

I've got the undone bits of carpet that show to wash in the two letting rooms, plus the other half a flight of stairs and half of the bottom stair on another flight. And then I'm going to have a long bath and an afternoon nap so that I can cope with the 11.00pm kick off tonight. I love the friends hosting this evening, but it's going to be a long night and I'm absolutely dreading it.
    Better is good enough.

Aww sorry about the chameleon, Wendy :(

Still rain here so two lots of washing on airers and draped around the house. Not ideal, but needs must. I won't do any more until it dries up. I've emptied and reloaded DW and it's going again :o kitchen looks lots better for it :p

Also beautified my nails, DD wants hers doing but I'm not giving her a gel mani, she can have the regular stuff.

    It's very muggy here.

Think we will make some biccies and buns, DS wants to make shortbread and DD chose some wafer butterflies yesterday. Actually, we're going to my mums in the morning to take stepdad his card so we can take him some goodies too!

    Hmmm. Shortbread recipe...

Raining here, not forecast and not in my plans! Just washed a duvet. Beds stripped too and towels to wash, hope it stops soon.

Hoovered the bathroom, hoovered up 3 moths off the lghtshade, I'm on moth watch. DH out doing errands, DS1 bringing DS3 home so I just need to drop DS2 off in a bit.

Off to finish the hoovering firstand cook a pizza for DS3 for lunch.

I've made a start on the weeding but it keeps raining and the next stage needs me to be on my hands and knees and I'm not doing that on the damp ground. Also have a thumping headache now so think I am actually going to get some shut eye for ten minutes.

    Catch you all later.
