  • Found a working hoover....kitchen, DR, LR, hallway, stairs, landing, my room and ensuite all given a really good going over after being de-gibbled.

Some gibble from landing taken downstairs ready to go to dump tomorrow, as my glass recycling is building up....if I take it to bottle back at Mr T then I will have to go in and buy food, so the tip it is!

Tried to use DW earlier and it's not working so need to find out what the error codes mean, so I have more WUDUPA to do....but I am telling myself to think how much leccy is being saved.

On saving leccy, having raw fruit veg and nut smoothies for 4 out of 5 snack/meals a day now with DD1 so it means the cooker is not being put on every time someone gets hungry. I will submit my meter readings tomorrow and see if I can get my DD reduced :money:

Right WUDUPA is not going to do itself......hopefully will be back on tomorrow.
The cold never bothered me anyway

    Hiya everyone

    Gosh - what a week, I'm cream-crackered.

Can someone tell me why it has started to rain everyday this week when I get my shoes out of the cupboard to go out

Did it today so decided to wait for the bus. Forgot it was Friday 13th and of course the bus didn't come and had to walk to station in the pouring rain :( Mind you, GA must have been watching and the express train had been delayed and arrived just as I did :rotfl:

Oh - Mrs M-P. What a carry-on eh  Glad 'people power' triumphed :T

School have asked if I can fit in an hour or two reading time for them from next September.

Hey - I remember doing this when my sprogs were in primary and it was great ! Got really involved with them and thoroughly enjoyed it :) Only problem was the ones who obviously weren't get any support at home and came back the next week without anybody at home giving them the time :( Then I thought that maybe their family had problems with literacy - we don't all have the same opportunities in life eh.

Suppose I'd better own up and list the list -
If it's gone I've done it or I don't have it

Muggles Monday ~ Kitchen & Dining Room
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Wipe out the fridge..
Bake a cake/buns or prepare a new meal for our family!

Cleaned hob, cooker and micros as well

Thumping Tuesday ~ Living Room, Hall
Open the windows and turn on some music!
    Wipe and water the plants
    Wipe over sticky sofas.
    Dusting, even if around everything
    Clean TV, any fluffy electricals
Wipe paintworks and any grubby marks off walls etc
Vacuum under any furniture you can.. please don't injure yourselves!
    Clear a hotspot or 3!

    Whistfull Wednesday ~ Master Bedroom
Open the window and air the room
Strip off smelly bedding and sling it in the wash, replace well before bedtime!
Vacuum the mattress and air the duvet (I have been known to dangle mine over the whirly gig if it's nice)
Find 10 things to get rid of!
Make sure those smoke alarms are working!!! (do not set fire to anything.. just press the button!!)
    Vacuum the bedroom
Remove some dust bunnies and wipe over the light shades
Sort out one cupboard, just the one!!!

Thursday Scrubfest- Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Clean & wash floors in these rooms
Air the room.. fling open the windows and let in the summery air!!
Clean baths, toilets, don't forget the outside and under the rim and sinks.. shine the taps with a toothbrush!!!!
Dust PC and clear any clutter from desk
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
Wipe down tiles in bathroom.. defragment your pc while doing this.
HHG.. if your garden is already beautiful go out and enjoy it for half an hour!!
Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
Throw out/get rid of 3 things from every room in your house!!

Freaky Friday- those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms

Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, books etc
Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself!!!!! paint your nails, make an appointment to have your hair done, a lovely soak in the bath.. whatever you feel like!!
    Vacuum the floor
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!
Wipe the grotty patches of the walls and woodwork
Wipe skirtings and window & door frames!

    I really don't know where I'll start :(

Hope you all have a super Saturday
    Lx

Thank you :) it is very pretty ... I'm fretting now in case moomins teacher doesn't like it.

Pixie is awake supposedly feeding but why that requires teeth is anyone's guess.

I finished painting the cupboard last night so will get the door back on once pixie goes back to sleep and do pics of that too it is really cute. It is to be in the girls very pink room
