    Afternoon all

Busy day of the paid stuff done. Just time for a cuppa, assemble birthday cake, wizz soup, wrap present, write card, pick strawberries and then off to cricket and to see my mother for her birthday.

Did he maybe just have low blood sugar Kaz?? Maybe a break time snack is in order especially if he is having a growth spurt or doing sports or busy activity. Hope he is ok :)
A bit of low BM and low BP is my guess. He's 5' 1/2" and weighs 5st, he's like a twig and is eating like a horse at the moment so is obviously getting set to shoot up (because I've just bought him more clothes!). He even said himself he thought it was probably just low blood sugar as he felt better as soon as he'd forced his jelly down his neck.

Kaz, if your beauty stash needs reducing, you could join in the "no buying unnecessary toiletries" thread over here on the beauty board. They are a lovely, lovely bunch of ladies and with their help I have managed to knock my constant purchasing on the head (more or less :o)
Hope your DS is back to 100% v. soon xx
I used to be on that thread but it got a bit of a nail varnish purchase thread and lots of people comparing beauty boxes which kind of destroyed the point of it for me. I agree they are lovely ladies :). I'm actually fine, I now make considered purchases (hence the having a few bottles of S&G clean on me in) whereby I buy products I like when they are on offer. It's mainly the toot that DD has bunged in the cupboard from her room where she's been given loads of smellies. She then doesn't use them all or opens all of them so nothing ever goes! That and she and DH keep buying conditioner instead of shampoo. I have put away everything again so there is only 1 shampoo and 2 shower gels out in the shower plus 1 bar of soap by the bath and 1 pump on the sink.
We have 3 toothpastes open and on the go due to all 4 of us needing one for when we were on camp. That's a pain!

    Hi Ladies

We've been mostly in the garden today, and I've also done some sewing. The grass is cut and we've had a good tidy round. Still haven't seen NDN to check they are ok with me cutting back their shrub. It's hanging right over the fence and is covered in bees, shedding lots of bobbly bits.

Kids have had dinner already, they were "starving" lol. Oh and no sign of the nitties today - thankfully. They are both tired, too. I unpicked DDs home made Elsa dress as we could barely get it around her chest, and I've remade it. Now has a very stretchy top and the whole thing looks more "decent" lol. I will redo the cloak again though as I only tacked it on - she was a bit impatient for it ;)

I need to bring the washing in, but I have emptied DW and tidied up after tea.

Sure I've done more than this. Doesn't look much, does it?

No Bossy, it doesn't!! But days like this are meant to be spent in the garden in the sunshine if you can..

Minimal flying for me today, only just finished the paid stuff. And I have to admit to falling off the June Challenge wagon yesterday. Bah to DH buying snacks to tempt me. Back on the wagon today though.

    Have a great evening everyone.

Work all day when I eventually managed to get out. Had one of those days where I don't seem to be getting much done and what I did get done seemed to go wrong. I have managed to get a wash load done :)

Oh well, off to get dressed and back out to work. Only 20 books to collect and a delivery to make. Its way too hot to be working out there but having DD with me means it should be a bit easier than this morning. ;)

Hoping to get some flying done when I get in if I don't melt, but we'll have to see
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

I fell off the wagon last night, Jazee, as well. :o As a result, today should have been a write off, but it has been anything but thank goodness. I drunkenly scattered a bucket of bicarb on the carpet in the smelly lodger's room and put three bowls of vinegar in there as well, and hey presto, this morning the smell had gone! Yay! If I hadn't opened the second bottle of wine that idea would never have come to me, so I'm not wasting time on regret or a hangover today. (Plus which OH found some ibuprophen for me last night, so I wasn't in a huge amount of pain, either. Bad me, though.)

I lost count of the number of WM loads I did here this morning and then also zipped to the laundrette with the 9 tog superking duvet and the lodger's shower room acoutremonts. I've managed to get all the tar off the shower mat, and the towels are no longer ponging. Sadly, the underblanket is still a bit niffy so I'll go back to the laundrette tomorrow with the double duvet from the other bedroom, the curtains and the pillows and get them all done at the same time. Both rooms are let continuosly now for four months, so this is my last chance to get the rooms sorted out.

Last thing today I washed half the carpet in both rooms and I'll shift the furntiture to the clean sides tomorrow and wash the rest. If they stay reasonably okay I may not have to replace them which would save me a few squids I can ill afford.
    Better is good enough.
  • Hi all - funny pecualiar day today - lots of emails, calls, bank stuff - and dashing about!

Managed to do loads of ironing for hols and a chunk of trial packing!!! Need to double check our baggage allowance tomorrow and then do the on and off the scales with too large a suitcase dance!!!

Luckily have some travel scales for when we come back as have to pop hand luggage into cases because of exceedingly short flight turn round time in Amsterdam!!!

Feel very disorganised this year so hope I don't forget something important!

Still a few more days to go so should manage it.

Plan for tomorrow - more banking stuff.
    Dust and hoover through
    Change bedding
    More gardening
    More tidying - paperwork!!!

Have a good evening everyone - any spare wine going anywhere I could do with a virtual glass, please!!!!
