My favourite work lunch at the moment is sweet potato, spinach and feta frittata. Mainly because I make a job lot in muffin cases and freeze them. Then take out however many I want the night before and as you can eat them hot or cold it doesn't matter if you have access to a microwave or not.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

For and the dogs and I went to visit someone today.
I've been spoiled rotten while fir has been home for so long, I haven't fed the dogs at all myself, and he's done the chickes every day, morning and night, and the dog walks. I have done horses a few days for clients but that's it. So I have slept and slept. I'm getting a little worried how I'll cope when he goes back. His spoiling me has been over indulgent, And I have not pushed myself to not take advantage of it.While I don't mind the dog feeding...its good for the furries to look to him instead of me for a while, I should I think, flop less entirely.
Tomorrow is body work day again. Where does time go?0 -
It doesn't hurt to have a complete and utter rest occasionally, LIR, so don't feel guilty! Your body obviously needed it!(I just lurve spiders!)

My body would rest ALL THE TIME if it could:D:o. One of the huge changes for me with poor health was this lack of get up and go and huge need for sleep and fatigue.. It sucks, but at least its cosy.
I suppose one could have worse compulsions...:D:D.
The great thing is some of the swelling in my leg has gone down a lot. Hopefully THAT will last a good while too.0 -

We all use the Egyptian cotton towelling robes from Dunelm its brilliant In Sale too!
Yes, it's a brilliant idea! I am addicted to towelling dressing gowns, but 2 of the 3 I own* are almost worn out. And there's a Dunelm just down the road!

Dia woowoo might be the best thing I have read this week. Brilliant.
Code monkey, does your oh's condition benefit from any dietary support? E.g. My DH finds when he is eating a lot of Japanese food or soya based stuff his muscle gain at the gym is quite significantly lower. There are various ( disputed) suggestions that soya is oestrogenic, ( like some other foodstuffs) and DH certainly finds its better for HIM personally not to rely on them ( which he personally finds annoying as its the easiest places to get food from where he works!)
Oh, and re aspartame etc....my gastroenterologist made me stop chewing gum occasionally. He reckons sweeteners are 'diabolical' interestingly, so do all those consultants I see whose interest crosses over with my weight, endocrinologists etc.0 -

Not a penguin, unless you are feeling sick or it is dangerous to you to laugh. Related to diawoowoo though! Also related to artificial sweeteners. (Note that Amazon got the ingredients wrong, and listed these sugar free items as containing corn syrup)

Interestingly I note my type two diabetic parent, who never had a sweet tooth now adds sweetener to coffee. I have no idea why, just says its preferred when asked, but never was until recent years. But I think it corelates to about the time general tastes got sweeter and diabetes was diagnosed. ( will not eat correctly for diabetes....just will not:()0 -

Ok,
So is my DH, but I have only ever had one I liked and wore, ( my current one) and I ripped it recently)
I like it because its not too thick and bulky and its actually fleece not towelling so it feels lighter. My other robe is satin and the rest of the time I pull on a jumper ( I really need to buy a new hoody actually).
I need to replace the torn one ( I'll mend it and keep it, but get another one too) but I'm so worried about not finding one as nice I'm quite stressed about it. I liked that this was very light and warm, capacious, but would have liked it to have a hood. And not to be pink.
I think it was from a supermarket ( I'll check the label) but when I have remembered to check supermarkets they haven 't had anything that looks right. I think everyone is about the onsie now!0 -

Interestingly enough, I can't speak for DH but when Iate a diet high in soy, I noticed changes to my reproductive cycle. As to his condition its a mosaic syndrome and most of the damage appears to have been done in utero. He doesn't do much exercise beyond dog walking and still manages to be skinny which is irritating.
I have (well DH had until I comandeered it) a star wars dressing gown of the sith type. Its floor length with a hood and I love it.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
