NAH, there are LOADS of fleecy dressing gowns around. I know this as I have been keeping half an eye on them and coming to the conclusion that no-one sells towelling DG any more. Best places T K Maxx, Tesco, Matalan, Primark, and of course http://www.thehut.com/gift-home-office/star-wars-jedi-adult-fleece-bathrobe-one-size/10609831.html?utm_source=googleprod&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=gp_gifts&affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&ds_e_ad_type=pla&gclid=CjwKEAiAt4mlBRDXwt_m9ICU4DcSJAAS_X0WzF-ivj6TZr2SKUM2v-BHYb8LIWjDWlg101HRRrPqyhoCs-nw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.dsEx board guide. Had a bit of a wobble at work
Mainly cos i got there and saw the ginormous queue, and then saw next weeks rota and that i'm currently in 9 days in a row. Was stressing out cos i need to book a doctors appointment and was panicking that i wouldn't be able to. My senior sales calmed me down, gave me a hug and told me he's speak to my manager about my shifts, he also said to just book and appointment asap and they would sort it out.
I really do have the most understanding workplace/managers. They are akways there if i need them and if i struggle MH wise they are sympathetic. I know sometimes my job does stress me out but honestly getting that job was a massive leap forward for me. At my worst i honestly didn;t know if i would ever be well/stable enought to work again.
Also talked to Beau today and we've sorted things out, i explained why i've been stressy and !!!! and he told me not to worry about it and told me he wished he could be here and just hug me till i felt better.

Awake again boooo
Not going to sleep yet gotta try for beautification if I sleep I will miss it gonna try and get some sleep later.0 -
MessedUp, looks like you struck gold!
And they obviously appreciate your efforts to do a good job! I should think so, too, as you're very conscientious!
9 days in a row does seem a bit steep, though. Was it a mistake? I don't know what the rules are, though. Mind you, if lots of people are off sick, I suppose it may be necessary.
Still, make sure you get your GP appointment. It may only mean a couple of hours out in the middle of a shift.
Mellymoo, what will you miss if you sleep?(I just lurve spiders!)

Morning all! Hope everyone is ok today and the ill ones are feeling a bit better!
I am so glad that you spoke to Beau and your work were so supportive, MU. I would have a meltdown at 9 days myself!
Well done on the nutritionists visit, SDW! We are all rooting for you, that it works!
I agree with you on sweeteners, LIR. I used to use them in drinks all of the time and my endocrinologist told me to stop and use sugar instead. He said it would prevent my thyroid stabilising and that they aren't very nice in general.
I quite fancy a towelling robe myself now. I don't even have a dressing gown, I do have a Snuggie and a leopard onesie with ears, though!
My stomach cramps yesterday got much, much worse to the point where I was considering the hospital and then I literally projectile vomited everywhere. After doing that several times and several bouts of diawoowoo the stomach cramps went away, so yay? I am staying in bed the whole day and might attempt some boiled rice later tonight, I am scared to eat now! At least drinks seem to be staying down so I am trying weak sugary tea, I have to keep taking in sugar or I will get very ill. My GP recommended Dioralyte yesterday so I will get WaSp to get some today. The stomach pain and vomiting were so unexpected, I have never had flu before, believe it or not. This is a learning experience.
On the bright side WaSp seems to be feeling better so hopefully he is skipping this stage. This is handy because I can be a dying swan in bed and he can get me things.
Oh, and Milliefleur called us to let us know that she was safely in Yorkshire and was extremely happy, laughing and quite drunk! So at least we know she is having a good time!
In other wonderful news my american friend has been offered a research position where she is doing her Doctorate! I was getting worried about her because she was trying to work full time and study and her job has awful long hours. (She is a psychologist, too but where I went into the therapeutic side she went into advertising and media). Research has always been the field she wanted so she has no hesitation in taking up this offer. It means she will have time to come over and visit me again! We haven't seen each other for years due to her work so we are both so excited!

Well, if you feel like poo, at least you have plenty!
(Strange thing to fancy!) :rotfl:
Hopefully the diawoowoo and vomooo have cleared your system out, so that it can concentrate on healing itself. Have you got any brown rice? That is really soothing. There's an Indian dish called Kicheree which is meant to be very good (looking at the recipe it actually looks a bit spicy, but you could possibly tone it down a bit?)

Hahahahaha! Oooh, good idea, JM! I can kid myself it's really curry. The annoying thing is that I do have an appetite now and my blood sugar drops make me ravenous so I am sitting here starving but scared to eat. I have every kind of rice you can think of as I live mainly off of curries usually.

WaS when DH gets vomiting bugs, I give him flat coke (full fat stuff) which he seems to tolerate. I hardly ever get these things, I nursed DH through norovirus a few times and remained immune. Years of tolerating my mum's cooking have given me an iron stomach. When I do get tummy bugs, I just get the diawoowoo. Keep warm and drink as much as you can. This is very important as you need to replace the fluids you are losing.
MU glad you have heard from beau and sorted your shifts. 9 days is a long time to work without a break.
JM - that looks quite good. I may make that as part of my eat loads of food diet.
I am panicking somewhat about giving up pepsi max. I suppose this means I am properly addicted.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
WaS, I think that if you really want food, you could try some. At least a little until you're sure it's staying down. Rice sounds ideal!
I've been very ricey over the last few weeks. I get fits and starts of certain foods, and after not cooking rice for months and months I suddenly got the urge to cook risotto, and found I'd forgotten how much I like rice! I've now almost run out, so it's on the ever-lengthening list to stock up on, which is one of the things I wanted to do this week, before this chest thing took hold. And now all the coughing is making my back hurt! Grr.(I just lurve spiders!)

If you're hungry try a little rice or some dry toast. Tiny portions are your friend.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
