Rice is also really good. If you have diawoowoo, drinking the water from cooked rice can make it stop.[/QUOTE]

Diawoowoo!!! oh codemonkey that really made me laugh, so much easier to spell and thanks for the rice water tip! lots cheaper than immodium :rotfl:
  • Yes, I loved diawoowoo as well - and sooooo much better than diawhoops.....

  • I have had my first appointment with my health coach. It was very good, she was kind and sympathetic, listened to me and gave me a very useful booklet published by the British Heart Foundation. I had a choice how often I want to see her - I chose once a week because it will help me if every Tuesday I have to go and talk to her one-to-one and be weighed.

Hope to have lost a couple of pounds by next week!

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
  • I'm so glad your appointment was OK SDW! Kind people are awesome when it comes to matters of the self (if that makes any sense...).

    Good luck!

I'll probably have gained a few so that'll keep the universe in balance :rotfl:

    Glad it went well though.

  • Yes, she sounds excellent! Hope she inspires you :) (I would still recommend buying the 5:2 book, which is about £3 on Amazon, and reading it....)

(I'm going to put the link cos if you google 5:2 diet it brings the wrong book up. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fast-Diet-Healthy-Revised-Updated/dp/1780722370/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1419949619&sr=1-2&keywords=5+2+diet)

Code, is there a microwave at worK if so, you could use your freezer mountain to take meals to work!

If not, remember that food doesn't have to be hot to be a proper meal. A good quality sandwich is nutritious and interesting! Plus homemade cake or yogurt (which can also be home-made!).

Sorry 7DW, with all this talk of food, although it's the good sort!

Think that's what I'm going to have to do. Sadly a lot of freezer stuff is pretty random stuff like yorkshire puddings and frozen veg so might have to cook veggie curry or something.

Sadly, curry is the one thing I can never get quite right.

  • Impossible to spoil curry! just bung in random amounts of (cooked) curry powder, or stir in a Patak's spice (or even pickle) and dilute with plain yog if too hot..... :D

WaS, did you get an email from Approved Foods the other day offering curry hampers? I was tempted, but haven't fallen - yet......

I don't know what I do. I follow the instructions but it never tastes...right. There's no such thing as too hot.

Except maybe the kismot killer. I'm not that stupid.
