One written around my 18th (i should add i tend to write poetry when depressed as its a good outlet for my feeligs, this one isn;t so depressing)
Reflections
As i watch another year pass me by,
I think.
So much can happen, so much can change,
Yet some things always stay the same,
And somehow we made it through.
Through all the ups and downs;
Through all the smiles and tears;
Through all the hopes and fears,
We got here in the end.
And so as another chapter closes
And another just begins,
We can sit, and be proud.
We can smile knowing,
I got to 18 years.
And what an 18 years they've been,
So many sights i've seen.
So many people i've known.
And i'm wiser than i was before,
Give me another 18 years and i'll know more
So as another years passes on
I close my eyes and smile. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Got it!
Possible penguin
I have a painting I did of it.
While my mother ate her heart out
And my father chewed the chairs
My sister worked in a factory calmly degutting pears.
The green pears like spinach, the yellow pears like sick she calmly diembowelled them with a deft little flick
She never seemed to worry or share the families fears,
But thoughts like bees were buzzing inside her golden ears.
She jilted the tin carpenter and then the labellers mate,
And finally she married the man who nails the crate.
She had two lovely children called Dorothy & Clem
They're hanging her tomorrow for calmly degutting them.0 -

I could remember the outline and the line
She never seemed to worry or share the families fears but thoughts like bees were buzzing and have searched for it regularly apparently they're redoing it in schools.
It's horrid but the line I could remember resonates and I did a lot of work from it (a whole series of paintings)0 -
Hahaha!!!
They must have been Gorham Pears! :rotfl:

Beautifully positive 18th poem, MessedUp!
You'll have to change the last line to "I close my eyes and wave and smile."
Hee hee!(I just lurve spiders!)
