Couldn't really do it as I don't have photoshop and my drawing ability is dire, even with cartoons, so this is the basis of the joke, but you have to put your imagination to work, too! Please read the legend below!

    ...........4)

Picture 1) Brontosaurus eating leaves; imagine a sabre-toothed tiger bites the end of the brontosaurus's tail.
Picture 2) Brontosaurus plods on. Tiger slinks away.
Picture 3) Ten minutes afterwards. Brontosaurus carries on eating leaves.
Picture 4) Two hours afterwards, the brontosaurus says "ouch!"

The point of all this was to demonstrate how, in some brains, the connections between a stimulus and the realisation of and reaction to that stimulus are so far apart that it can take an age to effect a response!

Perhaps Gitdog is the brontosaurus-brain of the canine world!

    Brontodog!
    Pennydroppeddog!

Hope it doesn't go to his head! ( :p or maybe it needs to!)

Argh help me. Got my first office christmas lunch today and I have no idea what to wear. Was going to wear a lovely black lace skater dress but the snow outside has turned to ice and so whatever I wear will have to go with snow boots.

    Here are my options:

    1. Go with the dress with thick tights and boots
    2. Wear a purple wrapover midi dress with tights and boots
    3. Wear a shorter version of the lace dress with black skinny jeans or leggings and boots
    4. Wear my usual dress over jeans combos that have been seen a million times

    I'd say, 3).

You'll be sitting at a table, so no-one will see your bottom half, so you may as well wear something practical below! :)

Just realised you said 'first Christmas lunch! How many have you got? When I worked in an office, there was only the one Christmas lunch!

Its a real thing I said.

It reminds me that the decisions I have made might have resulted in a lot of chaos and hassle but there were definite upsides and goals achieved. And the inverse I guess, that for goals achieved, there can be some compromise. :)

I've been working over 2 teams this year so I got invited to both lunches.

If I had the figure, I would go for option 1. I love skater dresses.

OH has about 12 christmas do's usually - none of them are nice civilised lunches though, and they all involve nastier and nastier hangovers as he gets older lol. Have told him he's too old for playing football and all night drinking now.... think he's starting to believe me.
