Thank you
Yes, lots of support is in place. I don' know about Christmas yet as I don't know when they will operate but if we have to delay the occassion then that's what we will do.

Hello DD! and welcome to the thread! You will always be welcome, quite a few us (me included) suffer with depression so we understand how scary and empty it is. You have had a hard time lately, please try to be gentle with yourself and give yourself time to heal. We are all here for you.
Oh, pipkin huge hugs! You are having such a rough time, I am so sorry. Six little meals a day might be easier, that is how I eat. The meals don't have to be huge and it makes them easier to digest, plus it doesn't feel you with dread that you are going to be sick afterwards.
I am so glad that you have support, Don't worry about Christmas, it can be any day you choose. If it has to be after the date then it just makes the anticipation last longer! Please let us know how you are when you can, we are all thinking of you.

As for me, no change. Hospital is still staying quiet and also ignoring Milliefleur's sister now. She is visiting today so WaSp is staying here, last time he saw her there she asked him what he was doing to get his mum home, he doesn't need that. She has already asked to complain to the consultant that Milliefleur hasn't be discharged, unsurprisingly the consultant is always nowhere to be found. We sort of wish she would go home to Yorkshire, she isn't helping things and getting Milliefleur worked up.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Maybe they don't want to tell you anything until they have potential places confirmed.
That generation loves their hospital visiting duties. It seems to be the 'done thing'. My parents will ignore (for example) my grieving aunt but then visit her in hospital every day for a throat problem.
Just let it wash over you, WaS. Hear what they are saying but don't take it to heart and trust that things will become clearer in a few days.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I can drive!!!
Walking much stronger, and can shower....I feel almost human.
Kiwi went in for a quick scrub up. And they gave him a PUG Christmas card!! I think now we should try and find cards like GIT dog, max, darling dog ( I won't call him the offensive name, he's too lovely) and oystercatchers dogs...........have I missed pets?0 -
Thank you, whitewing. I think it is also possible that they won't make any decisions until my social worker has visited me as everything is connected. As WaSp is the carer for both of us they need to know who he is going to be with and when before they can move further. Social services have always been very clear to WaSp that his caring duties are with me, not his mum so they may want to re-establish that first. Plus I would imagine these things take a while to arrange anyway.
Milliefleur's sister is 84, very healthy and very, very assertive! The younger members of WaSp's family are terrified of her. She is strictly of the thought that any home/sheltered housing is bad and social workers are evil people who split up families. Fortunately, her say in the situation is minimal but it doesn't stop her accusing and ranting at anyone who will listen. She is actually remarkable for her age, still works occasionally and travels abroad for holidays but she has a will of iron and is very blunt. Hence Wasp is staying away today, he really doesn't need a guilt trip and a lecture.
Awww, a pug card! We totally need one for all of our pets! I am so glad that you are feeling better, LIR. Is it Christmas tree day?Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
