Don',to be cross with me.
Penguin.
like you I'm on pills and have health conditions that see me gain weight. I try to really think about the intake of things because they are 'more calories' for me than the average person. I have accepted that with' weight gaining predisposition' I just cannot make the choices other people can. I save them for special occasions and stuff. I don't 'ban them' but I just know I cannot have them like other people do. For me, making more exclusive choices less often is one of the ways to enjoy life.0 -

I've got 2 christmas lunches coming up, nothing to wear and I'll need to be sociable.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
No, its not very tall, bit silly I suppose, as the ceiling in the Cheese Room could take a taller one, but we put it on a blanket box. I think its about five feet tall? I like a really bushy tree and too tall the bushiness gets too wide....0

You have my sympathy, code. I used to cringe at work Christmas lunches, although I confess I cheered up when alcohol arrived, I sort of drank my way through them.
5ft is taller than any tree I have had, LIR! My present one is only 3ft! The flat is small, though so there isn't really room for a giant tree. Do you have traditional decorations for it? At the moment I don't gain any more weight if I eat bad stuff than if I eat healthy stuff. I do a stupid amount of exercise, and during the Christmas period, I also go a little more easy on myself so a treat isn't such a bad thing.
I'm struggling with a brand new side effect to my medication which is massive blood sugar crashes so some sugar is helpful.
In short, at the moment, I just cba making the right choices for no reward so I'm making the bad ones.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Oooh, action on the hospital front. WaSp just called her and there is someone there currently assessing her needs and chatting to her. WaSp will call her back in an hour.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

One day I'd like to have a tree in each reception room.
The cheese room tree is all gold and sort of baroque colours...pinks, purples, some oranges. It sounds awful, but it looks ( IMO) rather wonderful. It has always had lots of fruit on it too, but I've put lots of the fruit on our light fitting this year....not sure how many we have left. Fruit, birds, deer, some beautiful glass baubles, lots of inexpensive ones. No tinsel, plain white lights.
We also have a 'non traditional' tiny tree ( artificial, white, not a Christmas tree) hung with all glass and white decor) in a nother room.0 -

We have to squeeze ours into a corner so I remove some of the back branches so it works. Our decorations are a mixture of some I brought with me from living alone and some we have picked up on holiday - we have some wooden ones from Prague and some traditional Croatian lace hearts which were a gift from the owners of the apartment we rented in Dubrovnik.Eu não sou uma tartaruga.
