Welcome bailey.
Please know you may feel comfortable here.
We do avoid some things here, Religion is one....um, I'm afraid I cannot remember the others ATM. ( I have memory problems
) The reason things are avoided is simply because they are known triggers for others.
If something Is upsetting you and you raise it similar courtesy will be shown to you.

Welcome Bailey

It was started by WaS for support and kind of gave us an insight into her illness, but has evolved into a very welcoming thread where we pretty much support each other
I've not been here as long as others but they have all been lovely and i feel like i'm part of the family now, as i hope you will do too

And whilst we're on the subject of pets again, I took Gitdog to a charity fundraiser today. He was (almost) the epitome of good doggy manners, and has had his portrait taken. Am awaiting the piccy's with interest.
I have found a link to a newspaper article regarding Errata's comments for anyone who is interested. It has lots of further links. No idea if it might trigger anything for anyone.

Edit - Did anyone know there is actually a Mad Pride day in Paris? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

We also offer hugs, or warm handshakes for those who find hugs too intrusive. Feel free to help yourself to some!

For those who would like to become more aware of the use of language and mental health this is a fairly recent interesting piece, There are thousands of other similar pieces on the internet http://www.theguardian.com/science/brain-flapping/2012/sep/06/crazy-talk-language-mental-illness-stigma.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
Hi Bailey! You are more than welcome here, you can post if you want to or just lurk, no pressure at all. Everyone has explained what the thread is for so I won't bore you by saying it all again, just know you can jump in and out as much as you want to, you will always be accepted here. Have a hug or a warm handshake, whatever feels safest to you. Oh, and do ask questions if there is something you don't understand. I have complex mental health issues and try not to repeat myself (and bore everyone to tears) by mentioning them frequently but if I mention a symptom and you don't understand why I have it do ask me, you won't upset me.
A big hello to my friend pipkin, too. I have been thinking about you and hoping that you are well.
I have spent the day between worlds, it wasn't pleasant but was expected as a kickback for the stress for The Thing That May Not Be Thought About having to be finally dealt with. I often find that I can cope with any crisis that is thrown at me at the time, it is when I relax days later that the anxiety has an effect. For bailey and anyone else that is new who may be reading-I have Catatonic Schizophrenia which means when I am stressed I get 'stuck' between a dream state and the real world and it takes me a while to find my way back.
